Hey all fitness junkies. I'm headed on a cross-country roadtrip from Toronto to Texas to Los Angeles, that's probably going to clock in about 10 days on the road. I want to stay fit along the way, but as we all know, roadtrip travel is littered with health minefields. Besides the obvious (choosing hotels that have gyms, avoiding fast food and packing a cooler full of fruits, salads, water) what do you guys recommend to keep it lean so that I still have a beach body by the time I reach the beach.

I've done NYC to La twice now. Pre-packed meals and snacks are so important. The Midwest only has fast food with no healthy options. My first time I underestimated that and packed way too light. I would also pre-search for grocery stores along the route so you can restock. Call the hotels ahead of time some of them have agreements with local gyms so you aren't limited to just a hotel gym. It's nice to release the tension of driving all day in a full sized gym. Lastly try to get hotel rooms that have kitchens in them. I love element hotels for this. If not room service should be able to make anything to your specifications.

    Hope this helps!!
