Ever feel stifled and overwhelmingly lonely when you're at home ?

Yes. Even when my family is here. Mostly because I'm in the closet, but I don't feel like I can relate to them much anymore.

Never because I'm a loner who likes his own company. That being said, sometimes I question how much I'm missing out. I guess the grass is always greener.

I'm not going to say that I never ever feel lonely (especially post-breakup), but this suggests that you have time on your hands.
    Do something with that time.
Be responsive: there are a lot of clubs looking for more members.
Be proactive: start a club for something you are interested in.

If you seek a gay community, help build and sustain it!

You obviously have a boring job that only requires you work 40h a week.

Read a book ... yes sounds silly, but your mind is very powerful, or can be easily fooled which ever way you prefer to see it.

Sometimes. Even though I live with 3 other people, my loneliness stems from my desire to have someone to share my life with.

Yes, many times when I was younger and single. Because of it I appreciate Bill that much more. icon_wink.gif

Coming out of a long relationship does make me feel like that every now and then.

Even when you're busy, you still get that feeling. One time I woke up at the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep. I spent the whole night in a really gloomy strange kind of mood.... oh well ^^

Used to, but have always been a loner - now I keep myself busy so being home alone is actually comfortable for me.
