It's really disgusting how they are treated.

Side Note: This is what Chick Fil A dollars were supporting.

It amazes me when straight people in London tell me we've won the battle for equality.

Because I've already seen other videos about being gay in Uganda, Nigeria, and in some other African countries, I did not watch this video.

The problem is mostly the result of American evangelicals and fundamentalists going to Africa and preaching in such a way as to make Africans hate gays. They have convinced many Africans that there were no gay persons in Africa until homosexuality was imposed on Africa by western colonialists. These people have told lie after lie about gay people. They say that part of the "gay agendum" is to convert children to make them gay and that unless gay persons are eliminated, they will corrupt the entire nation. In one video, I saw a black African preacher stating that as part of their sex lives, gay persons eat each others' feces; the audience looked horrified.

Some of the hate-mongering black African preachers know better, but they promulgate hatred anyway, probably to increase their power and influence. Some probably don't know better.

The fact is, of course, that there have always been gay men and women in Africa. In some tribes, gays were respected and given special rĂ´les.

This is exactly how some people think the US (and the whole world) should be.

The WBC (and like-minded churches) is probably gloating over it.

Probably you're right, but they deny it and claim that they never intended things to go that far. But what else could they possibly have expected?

There is a word beginning with 'h' that describes their statements.

Watched the whole thing. What a nightmare it must be to live there being gay. Being imprisoned or beaten to death for being gay. It is a shame because a lot of people think this way, based on what they believe is their religious right.
