Last Thursday I celebrated my twenty-first birthday. I spent some time with my family and got some good money out of the deal. I even got a birthday cake with candles, but I made sure my family didn't sing..lol. One of my oldest friends completely forgot and made it seem like it was no big deal which is so weird because she made me brownies last for my last birthday. I expected certain people to wish me a happy birthday, but they didn't so I won't stress it too much; even people I really don't talk with on myspace wished me a happy birthday. My biological father has been absent in my for about nineteen years which still makes me a little depressed, but I have to keep moving on right. I suppose in the end quality is better than quantity, right?

BTW, how did you celebrate your Twenty-First birthday?

I went and bought a 6-pack (Sweetwater 420) and had my first drink. It was all very low key.

tryingtolive, does your biological father know when your birthday is? I personally don't really care if people I know forget to mention happy birthday. Sometimes I make the mistake of not checking facebook in time (I only go on there once or twice a week) and so I'd miss a friend's birthday. I feel bad afterward and usually send him/her a private message about it. They usually write back that it's no big deal. And to answer your final question, I would say yes. Quality, in most cases about life, beats quantity.

Congratulations on your 21st Birthday! ...I would tell you about mine, but I cant remember it....srsly! ... icon_lol.gif

I hope you are taking this milestone in your life and giving some thought to what's next for you. ...You should look to making some sort of plan for the 5 to 10 years. ...Achievements in life don't just happen. ...You have to make them happen. ...So take control of your lfie and plan how you want it to go. ...You can, of course, change the plan as you go along. ...But the object is to not just drift aimlessly while the time passes by.

Hmm, mine's coming up at the end of the year. It'll be absolute funsies since I'll have 2 other friends in the same week and I know how much they love getting me smashed (drunk, not abusively icon_razz.gif).

Annnnyway, one of my closest friends wants to hire me a stripper and lap dance for me...but he still thinks I'm straight...oh and he's homophobic...my pathetic life aside, CONGRATS MAN! You can now drink your arse off like we aussies did when it was our 18th ^_^

    Happy Birthday to you.

I hope you had a good time and that things work out well for you in the future.

But don't stress about people not remembering your birthday - sometimes life gets in the way.

Your paternal father is missing out on knowing a greta guy and in the end it's his loss not yours. I'm sure the rest of your family love you and that's all that matters in the end.

    Cheers

    Loz

Ps. I can't remember how I celebrated my 21st birthday. I still lived at home then ,so it probably wasn't a wild old time. The years since then have been the better years in my life. so you've a lot to look forward to.

    I drank. A lot.

I remember screaming at the bar about gnomes in the fire on my friends lighter.

I also remember my head hurt for a long time the next day, and the walk to get my car wasn't much fun.

Haha Mines in November, I don't know where I'll be hopefully I'll be established in my new city and have a few friends. I'd hate to spend my 21st alone!

I agree Caslon. In the next five to ten years I plan to have at least one college degree, be in /or have been in one monogamous relationship, working a full time job, live on my own, and at be closer to my dream of being a professional voice talent. Wish me luck. icon_cool.gificon_cool.gificon_cool.gif
