I think universal HIV testing is a good thing.

I think like anything medical, it's good to go thru the process once. Everyone should be allowed 1 medical check up once a year. If you take care of yourself nothing much should change. If it does, then go to a doctor.

I would have to disagree on that one. Don't believe the government has the power or should force citizens to do something "we" don't want to . Like "obamacare"....plus my boy Ron Paul would call that "unconstitutional".

I don't believe the article said anything about forcing anyone to do that.

I don't think it should be forced, but it shouldn't have the stigma to it. Like a strept test. Just get it done.
On the other hand, we need to not have a stigma about young adults buying and using condoms. I think one might fix the other.

Whats the point? If your forcing it on people, why only once? Most people would probably get tested when they aren't even sexually active. If it would be forced on people, then it would be needed to be yearly testing. And then when would they have to be tested? Everybody is sexually active and different points in their life.

Also, no this should not be forced on people.

Don't think the article is saying that anyone will be forced to take it at least once a year. From what I understand it would be a part of check up just like getting your cholesterol checked once a year. No one is forced to get it checked but it would be recommended without insinuating anything.

Don't they already have that in the US? Like a register where you can make it part of your physical regiment?

No. When you go to school or certain jobs you have to have certain vaccinations, but no they don't require you to get HIV/AIDS tested

I was lucky to have randomly picked a gay doctor when I was looking for a doctor near me. He recommended an HIV test as part of routine blood work before he even knew I was gay as well.

Saw him today for a follow-up and got tested as a matter of course.
