    ...and I thought this was going to be a post related to Project Gutenberg. The linked article talks about how publishers have begun selling digital versions of their textbooks for lower prices. It doesn't help when those digital copies are wrapped up in DRM.

    I did an experiment in college where I stopped buying textbooks. All of them. Just did not buy any textbooks for any of my classes.

    Fucking aced every class.

    I wish I could do this. It seems at least one of my classes every quarter requires a lab book, which I can find on Amazon but those are hit and miss.

    I took a History class in college where I used a textbook that didn't go with the class and got an "A".

    ...I did the opposite, I bought all the books and stopped paying attention. That was 6 years ago, and I retook those classes. icon_redface.gif
