Feel you there. I went to Tulane-- New Orleans, right? Right? Surely the stereotypical places will yield fruit. However! GLBT group was like eight people. Theatre department had one gay guy other than myself. Even the musical theatre dept. only had two. Got to say, the way I finally ended up meeting other gay guys was . . . well, I became an RA and the housing dept. had a lot, for some reason. But really, I just started meeting a lot of people-- friends of friends, co-workers, classmates, people who came to performances-- and met a lot of cool people of all kinds in the process. Guys these days tend to be pretty well-adjusted and the gay guys at Tulane were often frat guys, engineers, all kinds of stereotype breakers who didn't, for whatever reason, want to go to an LGBT group.
Good luck out there.
