Are your Thanksgiving gatherings "warm, joyous, and full of holiday cheer"?
Or, are they cannibalistic, eat-you-alive, let-revisit-old-wounds torture sessions?

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, time to be thinking forward to "Silent Night"! icon_lol.gif

My Thanksgiving rocks. I spend them with my sis eating steak and watching football. This year we rented bad horror movies too. icon_smile.gif

I usually just go chill with my grandpa. It's pretty awesome especially since most of his food is grown straight out of the garden!

Last year, I spent the holiday with a colleague "Arlene", her boyfriend "Fred", Arlene's mom "Cathy", Arlene's lesbian sister "Georgiana", her lesbian sister's wife ("Lisa") who subsequently become husband "Dick", and Arlene and Dick's two children (4yo boy; 3yo girl).

Can you say: "Complex Family Dynamics"?

Long story short. Everybody was just fine, except Georgiana who brought her childhood brand of fucked up cray-cray to the feast. At one point, Fred, Arlene and I were in one room when Fred said, "Is it just me, or is there something awkward in the air?" Arlene and I laughed and told Fred, "It's not just you, and Absofuckinglutely!"

This year, I'm gratefully enjoying Thanksgiving in the company and entertainment of me, myself, and I. Enjoying picking up the phone and calling friends in far away places. Enjoying eating anything and everything BUT turkey. haha!

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Welp, I'm at work, in my office. Got invited to three different meals but didn't want to do any of them. BORING! Sorry, but it is true. It's a beautiful day here, warm and sunny. Took the dog for a walk and am finishing up some stuff that needs to get done. Once that's over, the dog and I will take another circuitous walk home. After that I'll grill myself a couple stakes on the Bar-B and have a glass of wine w/ my housemate. Nice day SFAIAC.

It was a wonderful day! I went for my typical walk this morning to finish up some patient reports, worked on a lot of music, took a bath, and worked on my face for hours.

Then I had to go be with people... I survived, my boyfriend still cares for me, and life will continue on.

Mostly joyous and good-natured, though alot of times something goes wrong. This year, two sick family members. I couldn't risk getting sick, so I didn't get to see half of my family this year icon_sad.gif
