Pokemon. I've watched it for over 10 years. I'm starting to grow apart from it, but we had a good run. It was my first real anime, and basically changed the course of my life.

I grew up in Miami, so of course:

It was filmed near my neighborhood on what was then a local public beach and later developed into the ritzy, exclusive waterfront neighborhood Cocoplum. The real tragedy of the show was that when the series ended "Flipper" killed herself due to lack of attention by electing not to breathe, sinking to the bottom and dying in her trainer's arms, who later became a world renowned dolphin advocate and marine activist. The real bright spots of the show, of course, was the wish-fulfillment older brother "Sandy" and also oft-shirtless hunky fantasy dad "Ranger Rick." Their TV house was actually the dolphin trainer's real life one.

Skippy and Flipper were very similar TV shows , in their conception , and script .
Flipper's death was indeed bloody tragic and so sad !
When it comes to hunk , Skippy's 'copter pilot was mine ...Hahaha....

Yes, I never missed "Skippy" or "Flipper," if the TV was actually working. *
Also "Sea Hunt," and of course the original "Star Trek."

*Remember taking the tubes out of the back of the TV and plugging them into the testing machine at the store, to see which one was bad?
