“The timing of yellow lights on traffic signals at many intersections is purposely set to a minimum so more drivers can be ticketed for running red lights.”

Seriously? You are now worrying about the yellow lights in America?

You need professional help. Go see a doctor today. Oh, today is Saturday. Go to the emergency room. Oh, that's right. You're in Canada. You'll die waiting in the Waiting Room.

Ok, then until Monday, step away from your computer, go outside, and play in the snow.

Probably nosy rosy from Toronto can get deeply interested in all our pavement markings, street lights, pavement conditions, and bridges. He seems to have nothing else in his bored, miserable life.

Not only that but Canadians take bribes...

"...red-light camera distributor and competitor of Redflex, was charged with bribing Canadian officers in order to secure a $90 million, twenty-year “contract to operate photo radar and red-light cameras for the city of Edmonton, Canada.”"

It's just another way of milking the taxpayer for more revenue. And crony capitalism for the business who invented the technology. The left should be thrilled that the government has sold us on a new way to increase revenue without calling it a tax, and exerting ever more control over the people in the name of safety.

Isn't Redflex the company that was pretty booted out of Phoenix?

Do they get snow in Hong Kong?? icon_cool.gif

Seriously, this fucker is soft in the head....why the fuck yellow lights counts as an interesting topic to the average gay guy is beyond me (regardless of what country they're pretending they're from --he's NOT from Canada....his own off-RJ blogs are quite clear that he lives and works in China helping American companies outsource Americans' jobs to slave labour).

At this point, this is desperate attention whoring via conspiracy theories.

So just to be clear, you're accusing me of being a conspiracy theorist and you can't even figure out how to read a linkedin profile properly?

I didn't realize that only people who weren't gay drove cars. icon_rolleyes.gif

You're a nosy rosie from north of the border who needs to get a life. If our roads and traffic signals, pavement markings etc. are so irritating to you than stay the fuck off of them. If you really need to visit the US, consider either flying in from Toronto or taking a passenger train from Toronto. But do us American nationals a long overdue favor, don't drive on our highway network since you detest it so much.icon_mad.gif

Actually, if Canadians are close enough to the US border, they drive over here and take a plane from a US airport.

In Canada, they put the taxes for airport maintence and improvement on the the ticket. So the airport users have to bear the whole burden of the needed taxes. In the US, the costs come from taxes paid by everybody. So the cost is spread around and ticket prices are much lower.

Wow - look at how this thread has devolved. My fellow Americans attacking a foreigner to defend ridiculous abuses of the system.

If you don't give a shit about news and politics - which generally contain mundane bits of information, why even be in this section? Jesus....

It might not interest the average person just how much they're being screwed, but some people do care. (Quickly timed yellow lights have also been known to cause accidents)Ya'll need to calm the 'uck down. The stupidity in here is just too much sometimes. icon_rolleyes.gif

I see you're new here. I don't think anyone is attacking him for the topic he brought up, but because of who he is. He's the nastiest anti-gay, anti-environment Republican on the site. Therefore probably the most hated person here. Watch his posts and I think you'll soon understand why my fellow RJ members attack him so frequently.

The irony is the level of intolerance to alternative views that those like you exhibit. The most hated? Possibly by some amongst whom like yourname2000 and tropicalmark who constantly seethe in hate. But considering that I've developed a number of good friends on this site, unlikely.

Nevertheless, it does bring up an interesting question of why those like you and meninlove are more interested in personal attacks than say a look at actual issues.

:"Nevertheless, it does bring up an interesting question of why those like you and meninlove are more interested in personal attacks than say a look at actual issues."

Because your 'aternative' views are just a euphemism for telling others that they must do with less, all of society's problems can be solved with hackneyed trendoid economic equations, off shoring jobs is good (of course because you own a company that does that), and that every topic stinks of your agenda, not to mention your endless reams of them obsessing on the US, which is not your country.

    icon_lol.gif

One of my faves; telling libertarians that to vote that way was 'throwing away' their votes, yet if enough of them had done so, the libertarian representation in the US would be now that much greater.
