Anyone else looking forward to this movie?

The book was amazing and I can't wait to see how Ang Lee brings it to life. I'm a big fan of the "magical realism" genre in literature and Lee seems a perfect director for this difficult work.

If you read the book, you should like the movie well enough. My parents and I went to see it on Thanksgiving night (OUR turkey celebration will take place tomorrow afternoon), and found it to be accurate to the book, and pleasantly entertaining. Don't expect to see stars. But it's worth seeing.

My friend went to see that movie with his gf last night and told me it was NICE, esp. the IMAX 3D version. Gotta check it out!

I was told that Pi only has a lifespan of 3.14159 milliseconds.

I've got a 3D TV. I'll just wait till it comes out on Blu-Ray. icon_cool.gif

I actually didn't like the book too much. This is an exception, but I liked the movie better. Still, it didn't blow me away. I had fun watching it in 3D, though.

I bet you will like the IMAX 3D better. I was told it's very immersive though I haven't tried it yet. I will see it next week. Have you seen any IMAX 3D?

I'm not really sure what to expect from this movie. I've never even heard of "Life of Pi," until recently.

I glossed over the book rather quickly. The ending was a bit different than originally penned, but meh.

The movie was interesting albeit a little long in parts. My friends enjoyed it, but I couldn't help but think something was missing.

It actually looks really good. I haven't read the book yet, maybe I'll give it a go. What genre would you describe it to be?

IMOHO, there are very few movies that translate so well in 3D...see this one on the big screen in 3D. You won't be sorry.
