Well, that day me and my work-mate, we both were scanning some documents for some official work. Apart from being a work-mate he is a very good friend of mine and really close to me. Many times, I thought of coming out to him but all those times, I backed out thinking what if he turns me down and starts hating me for who I am. He is my gym buddy, and most of the times we spot for each other. Of course he will think about all these things when I would tell him that I'm gay.

The documents were so many and we were so getting bored so he started talking about marriage stuff and all. One thing turned into another and he asked me that when am I gonna get married as I am the only kid left in my entire family for getting married. I kinda felt nervous and I got scared what to reply. I din't say anything. He wouldn't let that go. I tried changing the topic but after some time he came back to the level zero. Then, I whispered, I am not gonna get married. He was surprised by that answer. Then of course the trail started with the next obvious question, WHY?

I knew this is gonna come up sooner or later so I held my breathe and I said, of course looking around and making sure no one's around that "I am Gay" !! He started laughing. He thought I was just kidding. Then, I said, I am serious. Yes, I am. Then he said, how is that true? You don't act/look or behave like one. I simply answered back saying that doesn't mean I am not.

He asked me, whether my family knows about it. I told, I will tell in future. First, I am covering my closest friends. He was sort of having so many questions about my future, the society, the sex part but he was confused about what and how to ask everything or anything icon_smile.gif Surprisingly he took it so well. I asked him, what if his own little brother comes to him and tell him that he is gay? He said, of course initially he will be confused, surprised with all sort of emotions. But, at the end we are family so I will accept him. Same like that, then he said, he is accepting me for who I am. I told him, whenever he feels talking to me about it, just ask. I will not hesitate to reply to his queries.

He is totally cool with me being gay. He is supportive and and backing me for what I am. I am considering myself too lucky just for the moment. Thanks to all my wonderful friends. Thanks..My friends rock my world !! Just thought of sharing this coming out story with you fellas....

That's great! You'll probably have an even closer friendship now. It seems that these days, most people are pretty accepting. I think in most, maybe not all cases, it's worth taking the chance and giving them an opportunity to know who you really are.
