You go, boy! Koch endorsed Bush in 2004, but the prodigal has come home. icon_biggrin.gif

I asked Koch just now what prompted the move.
"The designation of Palin to be vice president," he said. "She's scary."
He said he was alarmed by the report that she'd triggered a conflict with the local librarian in Wasilla, Alaska by inquiring about the possibility of banning books.

I have concluded that the country is safer in the hands of Barack Obama, leader of the Democratic Party and protector of the philosophy of that party. Protecting and defending the U.S. means more than defending us from foreign attacks. It includes defending the public with respect to their civil rights, civil liberties and other needs, e.g., national health insurance, the right of abortion, the continuation of Social Security, gay rights, other rights of privacy, fair progressive taxation and a host of other needs and rights.

    (emphasis mine)

I still think of him as THE MAYOR. I am just impressed you are on speaking terms. I has the privilege once (on the Brooklyn Bridge).

As for my dumbass opinion, I have always said - No Hillary, No White House - Unfortunately I am right.

Poor old Koch - he is a hoot, isn't he? God love him. But if he wants a real scare, he need go no further than to listen to Obama himself (talk about scary!) during his new interviews with Bill O'Reilly and George Stepanopoulos. I don't have to say a word more - just hearing poor Obama stumble and stutter along without his little teleprompter was enough to make me say, "NOBAMA!"

    Well isn't Koch gay?

He was a pretty decent mayor, though i do like Bloomberg.

Anyways, if he can motivate the "swing-voting Jewish Democrats " to vote for Obama. He might have a chance to win.

Florida is one of those states that would be greatly influenced if Koch decided to campaign for Obama. Obama should put him up to it and pay for his ticket to go out there.

    Thats my opinion.

Palin is SCARY! People should be much more worried about past, personal beliefs, and pastor than they ever were about Obama's Reverend Wright.

Koch is just the first of many of our country's best leaders that will be "coming out" in the next few weeks in support of our next President Barack Obama.

America is sick of these religious extremists trying to take over our country. She is anti-gay, anti-choice, and the opposite of everything this country needs right now.

I always find it interesting how the "right wingers" turn this into an Obama attack instead of commenting on the Koch's words.....

He is an interesting fellow, not sure how much people are listening, but I find him entertaining. I'm glad he summerized the Palin woman correctly.

    Involving the Palin woman:

No how, no way, no McCain, no Palin.....

All Palin is for McSame was a quick way to come up with some way to save his dissatisfied "Christian Right" evangelical base. She has done that much, but now people are starting to see through the smoke!!! The woman is not the person who should be in line for the top USA POSITION. This whole candidacy of theirs is a sham and an embarassment for our "SUPPOSEDLY" worlds most powerful nation. Imagine only meeting the person your going to choose for your VP twice before the day vetting starts.. That comes up to basicly 3 meetings, two of those being casual, with the actual interviewing being done at 3rd meeting while his aides make vetting calls. An these short sited people want to lead our nation?????? What fuck ups !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH but its all GOOD !!!! HE'S A MAVERICK !!!!!!!!!!! that makes it all better doesn't it CuriousJ and other republicans !!!!!!!!

I thought that state name was Alabama, not Nobama.

    I must be confused...
