Overtly Musclebound vs. Fit, which do you prefer?

For me, though I appreciate the hard work that goes into building a "bodybuilding" body, I find guys who are "fit" (less musclebound and more defined/strong/endurance-capable) so much more sexy...

Below is just one example of someone who is my definiton of "fit" rather than "muscle bound"

I suppose it'd be a jackpot *which I have won on occasions lol* to be with a musclebound guy but I am content with a guy who keeps his body fit.

I never understood the appeal of having just a pure bodybuilding body. Don't get me wrong, I'm lifting weights, but I'm not lifting them solely on the reason for others. I'm lifting because I want to get stronger in my kicks, faster in my vaults, and overall more stronger when I'm training Parkour or tricking. I want my skills to be practical and I want to be useful.

I do find myself attracted to both though I guess. I even find myself attracted to "bear" guys. Huge respect to anyone who keeps their body in shape and maintains it though.

I don't like David Beckham's body, so I'll go with musclebound

This should be an interesting thread. I only posted David Bekham as an example of what I find "fit" rather than "muscle bound" but you use your own definitions

Fit (I prefer Athletic), but David Beckham isn't the example I'd use.

I prefer musclebound to fit. David Beckham is the perfect example. He's good looking and all, but he does nothing for me. His face is nice, but his body is just "meh" to me.

Assuming we are only talking about 'from the neck down", I'd say I'd be very happy with a range from 'competitive swimmer' to 'amateur bodybuilder'. Although there's point of ideal preference somewhere around the Luke Guldan or Gareth Thomas build. That doesn't mean that I don't find a far broader range to be attractive. I suppose the more affecting variable would be bodyfat percentage.

The BIG caveat here though, is that no amount of physical perfection can make up for a limited intellect, no sense of humor, or lack of imagination and sense of wonder.

What's typically unrealistic about my preferences, is that I'd prefer someone better than me. Fortunately, I'm fully aware of that and very much the realist.

    they each have their perks..

the fit boys have endurance and should be able to go and go which is great.

    but....

I really love climbing a mountain of muscle icon_biggrin.gif

I prefer something in the middle. A well muscled man with a wee bit of fat to make him soft n cuddly wins me way more than a body builder or twig boy. Just me.

    I prefer fit. . . lean muscle.

That said, I don't think David Beckham is all that fantastic.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good looking guy, nice body -- but the majority of guys on here look better to me.

I see the aesthetic virtue of both fit and musclebound; however, for me my taste tends to favor function over form. I tend to be attracted to guys who are athletes, rather than those who are composed of muscles that are only really for show.

I like fit and muscle bound guys, any guy who is in shape with a heart who I get along with. It's all of him that makes me attracted to a guy.

Guys who are big to the point of distorted from steroids are not attractive to me and sometimes grotesque. Some of those same guys who are gigantic and handsome are gorgeous. Same with slender guys who are fit. It depends on the guy and how I feel about him.
