So after some time off for my hip surgery and then slowly working back into exercise, I'm back to hitting it hard. But I'm wondering, how much is too much?

I'm hitting the gym M - F. Starting each workout with 20 - 30 minutes of cardio. Each day I try and target 1 area. I've split my routines into Chest/back, Arms, Legs (2x week), Shoulders.

Is this a realistic routine? Will I see some good growth?

It's really hard to say because everybody's different and their bodies respond to different things. You just have to try different exercise routines, diets, etc. to see which is best for your body. Sometimes this can take a long time as there are lots of variations on exercises, sets, reps, work out time, days of the week, cardio time, etc. However, even when you find something that works for you, you shouldn't stick with it. Changing things up from time to time will keep you off the plateau.

Wow, I hope I didn't confuse you more. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that it's very hard for someone else to tell you what works for you. You just have to find it out yourself. Read everything and try everything until you find the right routine. And then change it. icon_biggrin.gif
