Leg Day Motivation

    I hate doing my legs more than anything... But I do them to avoid this:

    Not+a+Single+Leg+was+Trained+that+day.+i

    How does anyone else motivate themselves to do legs?

    I just look at pics of Erik Fankhouser's calves and realize I have a LONG way to go.

    Think how good you'll feel when you've done your squats....I always feel better and satisfied after leg training. If you're feeling depleted before the session, grab a coffee or energy drink to help kick start the process. Plan to reward yourself after....food, massage from your partner....so many options.

    I used to hate it for a couple years. On leg day I eventually began taking Jack3d which helped with my focus and got me through the entire workout. Then after a couple months I started seeing and feeling real results with constant increase of weights.
    Now I like leg day as much as the other workout days. The only difference is the DOMS I feel a day and a half - two days after. Even that still encourages me to continue advancing.

    I used to hate legs and never did them until this year, now they are actually my favourite!

    I love doing a good squat, I really feel it gives my whole body and core included a great workout. They say when you workout your legs it promotes a greater testosterone release in the whole body and promotes overall growth?

    Plus having strong legs and a firm butt just makes me feel sexier overall haha.

    I agree with above. Squats can feel good...like foreplay when you push up!! Maybe no happy ending but not as messy either.

    I look forward to it. Nothing feels better than a good leg pump. I just think of how it will feel after a few sets of squats and I'm ready to go. It is also fun to move a lot of weight and have those guys who don't touch their legs staring at you when you keep loading up the bar.

    My favourite day is legs. Never have to fight with people for gym equipment because that side of the gym is deserted icon_lol.gif

    Your motivation should be whatever your secret indulgence is! Legs day for me = more calories burnt and I feel like I really kicked my butt that day haha, always love the feeling the next few days knowing I worked hard and burnt a lot of calories.
