No, not for me, just in general. Actually, today was one of the worst days I've had at my job and home, and I'm a bit bummed, but I try to remember something important: life is AWESOME!

Seriously, all about the little things! Jogging to Eye of the Tiger while the sun is going down, blowing up a balloon for a little kid at work, training kicks, flips, handstands, and other acrobatics on top of a hill overlooking the town. Visiting the snow cone shop in the summer to support a local business and share some damn good time with friends (even though we're all 20+). Going to watch a movie in the theater by myself. Realizing ghosts and the supernatural most likely don't exist but exploring abandons places at night. Football, stars, food, trees, smiling, root bear float flavored bubble gum, alive cities, dead cities, bad choices, good choices, new friends. Life: it's all there, and sitting here is not how we experience it.

We get so caught up in this fucking bullshit these days. "Boo-Hoo this guy will never like me -"I'm so ugly and worthless" - "The guy below me only rated me a 6/10".I'm here to tell you it's all bullshit and you're life is ending one second at a time. The moment you realize when you die you'll just become another statistic is the day you realize life is just a game - so go out, play to win, and enjoy it..

I'm so tired right now and a bit frustrated. Seriously got bitched at on the job today because I'm in management position and too young. Bummed me out, but doesn't even matter in the long run, man because life fucking ROCKS!. Not apologizing for the ranting though so get off your ass and experience life. Don't let age, sexual orientation, or anything hold you back!

I don't usually quote the whole text of an OP I'm replying to but I'm doing so this time. I already knew I liked you, JMJ, now it is considerably more than that.

You are a wonderful human being. Thank you!

un uh, I'm way older than you and JumpMan is right. Yeah, life sucks a lot of the time but you can't forget to look around at all the amazing little things in life. Sometimes that is all you have left! But it ain't nothing. It is really quite something. Most every living thing is a three dimensional fractal unfolding through time. Look at a tree and then consider the tree you see has been preceded by eons of trees just like it. But you only get to see the one right in front of you.

I love the original post and I agree exactly. Life is almost always awesome when we don't focus on the silly games being played around us. What I find ironically retarded was the strange first response, "someone got laid..."
See, the first post did not have any sexual aspect to it, nothing at all, but the first post, lifting knuckles off the ground just long enough to type his neanderthal words, dragged the discussion right down to his level, where the only joy in life can come from a mindless orgasm.
Oh well, many of us get great joy in daily life. Enjoy the smiles that come from being part of the joy of a life lived with passion and love.

I'm 22 years older than him; and this is my only post in this thread cause I'm about to go out and enjoy life.

After all, it IS the weekend, ya know. icon_wink.gif

I've come to realize there are no perfect days, but perfect moments. Live in the moment, not for the next one. Its all about attitude. Life can be lived as a statement or muddled through as an apology. You can view each day as a blessing to be truly lived or an existence to be merely managed. Which will today be for you?

Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and "joie de vivre".

People often forget this very simple rule for life.

It's refreshing to see these rare posts that seek to celebrate life.

Josh this is for you. This gal belts out what you're saying, and this performance is from when I was newly 20. Great lyrics below.

The echo only lasts the first few seconds into the song.

    very warmly,

    -Doug

Ain't got no trouble in my life,
No foolish dreams to make me cry.
    I'm never frightened or worried,
I know I'll always get by.
I heat up, I cool down
When something gets in my way I go round it.
Don't let life get me down
Gonna take life the way that I found it.

I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me

They say that life is a circle
But that ain't the way that I've found it.
Gonna move in a straight line
Keeping my feet firmly on the ground.
I heat up, I cool down
I got words in my head so I say them.
Don't let life get me down,
Catch a hold of my blues and just play them.

I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me

    Feel funky, Feel good
    Gonna tell ya
    I'm in the neighbourhood
Gonna fly like a bird on the wing
Hold on to your hat honey,
    Sing, sing, sing, sing
    Heat up, cool down
I got words in my head so I say them
Don't let life get me down
Catch a hold of my blues and just play them.

I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me

I got the music, I got the music
    I got the music
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me

    (Instrumental)

Ain't got no trouble in my life,
No foolish dream to make me cry.
I'm never frightened I'm never worried,
I know, I know I'll always get by.

I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me
I got the music in me

Don't let it get ya down
Don't let it get ya down
Don't let it get you down
Don't let it get ya down
Don't let it get ya down
I got the music, pretty music
I got the music in me....

What a great posting. Such a great thread. Thanks for adding something so positive and true to the mix.
I work in an oncology clinic and it's a challenging, precarious balancing act. We get really close to some patients. We lose patients on a weekly basis. We cure long-shots. But you know what else? It keeps us all in check on a moment-to-moment basis about how wonderful and precious this thing called life can be. I have no business complaining about a headache or other malaise. Life friggin' is awesome and we are only passing through. Live it and love it!
    Thanks again, OP!

When you're down, depressed, disappointed, bitter, or otherwise feeling sorry for yourself, do a quick Internet search of what life is like beyond the four corners of your home and you will find a new appreciation for your blessings. I have seen what real poverty and misery look like in third world countries, and if you see them with your own two eyes you will never feel the same way about your life.
