What kind of friend are you?

How do you think your friends would describe you? How you describe yourself as a friend?

I'll go first: My friends would say that I'm overly critical and judgemental bbut probably for good reason. And I would say that I'm loveably bitchy and sometimes over involved in their lives only because I want the best for them.

I often feel like a therapist for my friends. Many of them don't hesitate to come to me to talk about their troubles. I suppose that means they think I'm reliable, trustworthy, respectful, open minded, and insightful. Plus I seem to have this twisted way of turning a negative into a positive. In a way I get a kick out of it and appreciate it, but some friends tend to overdo it. Like, I really should consider charging by the hour some time!

My friends would describe me as extremely loyal, loving, and honest. There are usually certain people that I get really attached to and would do basically anything for them. I'm also extremely generous with them, to a fault. I buy lavish gifts that I shouldn't, but can't help trying to make them happy.

I tend to view myself as sort of like a Guardian Angel for my close friends. Sounds stupid, but I'm always looking out for them, trying to comfort and protect them. Heck, I even have dreams frequently where I protect or heal my friends.

Kinda bizarre actually. Not sure how I ended up like that.

My friends say I'm: Fun, funny, competative

I say I'm: Loyal and caring (in addition to the above)

I mainly just try and be a good listener. One of my best friends always seems to be going through some drama. Sometimes I don't really know the answers to her problems but I'll always try and be there for her while she airs them out!

    This. Very much this.

It takes a lot for me to consider somebody a friend as opposed to an acquaintance, but like aristoshark, once somebody passes that threshold, they have one of the most loyal, genuine, fun, remarkable friend for life, quite unlike any other friend they have ever had/will have (if I do say so myself, of course ;).

Although, if, and/or, once trust has been dissolved through disloyalty/spite/betrayal or grievous disrespect, there is an automatic dismissal in my mind, and stark emotional severance. There is no return; my 'heart' and mind does not, and can not, go back to a previous state (I have learned), whether for better or for worse.

I used to be the same way. Still am but I've learned to let them fail and come to conclusions on their own. My bestie keeps dating the same douche bag. I've stopped trying to break them up and I'm just going to let her fail. When he shows himself as the asshole that he is I will be there waiting

These are what some of my friends said in my yearbook

"The first time I met you was in the JJay pool and I thought you were a thug lol. I'm glad I met you that day, you were the only one that stood by me during my times of hardship and I can't thank you enough. Wish there were more people like you =) I wish you the best in life and don't forget me" Sincerely Ahmed Elshafaie

'Good luck in your future endeavours and career as a private investigator- You are going to kick ass. I'm truly blessed that I came to John Jay and made a friend like you. You are the nicest asshole i've met =) You deserve all the wonderful things to come. Don't forget about me, I might need you....lol...keep going, keep your head high. You will achieve great things. Definitely one of the strongest people i've ever met. -xoxo Jara"

Congratulations! You did it man, accomplishing something most cannot and staying the steady grip of fate. Despite all odds, the cards that were dealt to you did not weigh you down, but rather made you into a stronger and more driven individual. You are my role model Thomas, when I need courage in the face of despair I think of you.Your friendship is always appreciated and know I will always be here for you. Best luck to you brother, If anyone can make a difference it's you!-You're pal, friend and ex security Joseph J Lorenzi

so i think my friends like me overall lol

They usually call me a "Play boy" cause I'm just too good to be true on being friendly especially to everyone even the ones Im close and their enemies.

Probably a listener and the one who care for others more then to give a fuck for himself. It maybe the word Loyal but im no Royal only to that special someone.
