A color photo of George Zimmerman following the shooting of Trayvon Martin has been released to the defense in the discovery phase of legal proceedings.

He appears to be bloodied and seems to have a dislocated nose. He's claimed self defense in the shooting under Florida's "stand your ground" law.

Only in Florida could you stalk, attack and shoot/kill an unarmed teen and then claim self defense.
After looking at this photo all I can think of is, if this idiot had just minded his own business and followed the 911 operators order and stayed in his car, his nose would not have been broken and he would not have murdered an unarmed teen.

    Two Observations.

THIS photo only surfaces NOW? Defense attorneys were putting out every exculpatory angle possible at the time of Zimmerman's arrest and the two weeks prior.

IS THIS photo from the same night or from a previous arrest, in which he was charged with hitting an officer ?

Related Question: Why is it that everyone one of Zimmerman's passionate defenders is a 60+ year old white guy?

We know there was an altercation, so I don't know what point you are trying to achieve by posting this picture. The issue at hand is that Zimmerman is claiming self-defense, in spite of being the aggressor.

Yes, this was taken from the same night and was obtained from the prosecutors office as a high defintion color photo rather than the b&w photocopy and then the low-res color photo they provided. See the link for the details. The prosecution took this long to release the photo to defense -- some speculate that it could be because the photo shows injuries to Zimmerman and would prejudice potential jurors.

The "order" seems a bit weak when one looks at the transcript of the call. The phrase "We don't need you to do that" should have been phrased "Don't do that!"

    911 dispatcher:
    Are you following him? [2:24]

    Zimmerman:
    Yeah. [2:25]

    911 dispatcher:
    OK.
We don’t need you to do that. [2:26]

    Zimmerman:
    OK. [2:28]

So now you're treating Zimmerman like he's infantile? I'm sure the average adult understands quite well the meaning of "we don't need you to do that" when it's coming from a 911 operator.

    Whatever happened to personal responsibility?

Your excuse that the order was not strong enough is just as stupid as Nikki Haley's sorry excuse for the massive data breach for South Carolina taxpayers.

    "Whatever happened to personal responsibility?"

    Great Question.

Zimmerman's defenders are giving him every pass.

Joke the vote, is it now a stuck bold lock instead of cap lock?

Hmmm.....looks like the kid fought back before he was murdered.

Interesting modus operandi, get someone to attack you out of fear for their life; then you can kill them.

...and before getting worked up - do I think Z did it? Do I think the kid's guilty?

Neither. I can't know; that's what the judge jury and all the evidence not made publicly available are for.
