according to Huffington Post reporter Jennifer Bendery. The reporter wondered if an "MSNBC love fest" was going on at the White House.

Here's Bendery's reporting, in a series of tweets:

Just passed Al Sharpton walking into the WH.

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

Also, Al Sharpton is so unbelievably tiny now. I actually gasped when I saw him pass by just now. Hope he's ok.

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

Rachel Maddow is now in the West Wing. How do I know this? I just walked in with her.

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

Never met Maddow until now. We kind of look alike, esp today. My intro: "Are you my long lost sister?" Her: "Glad we both got the memo."

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

Maddow, heading into West Wing, said she was here for a "hippie cabal." Asked if I was coming. NO, DAMN IT, I WASN'T INVITED.

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

So... in the last hour, I watched Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton and Lawrence O'Donnell all walk into the West Wing. MSNBC love fest?

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

WH spox: “This afternoon at the White House, the President met with influential progressives...."

    — jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012

WH spox says Obama mtg with Maddow, other progressives to discuss importance of extending the Bush middle-class tax cut.

Obama needed a refresher course on liberal fanaticism.icon_wink.gif

Or, he was giving them talking points in person. Or, they were giving HIM talking points. icon_cool.gif

    Yeah, so?

After Obama's first debate debacle, MSNBC hosts wondered out loud immediately afterward why the Obama Administration had not been tuned in. Obama learned his lesson right then and there.

I am not troubled by the meetings. He can meet with anyone he wants.

A few hours with Rachel Maddow is way more productive than the same time on the golf course.

Frankly I disagree with most of Rachel Maddow's political ideology, but IMHO would probably do a better job than Obama in the Oval office.

You know she would be negotiating in person rather than acting like a dressed up teleprompter.

In fact real life people instead of politicians would solve the issue quicker and cheaper than what we currently have.

As for Sharpton, he is a known liar ( Tiwana Brawley ) and spent time in jail for violating a naval base.

Other than Sharpton, those MSNBC hosts all have higher education degrees and seem grounded, unlike the Fox News crew, who all seem hot headed, uneducated and irrational.
Bush/Cheney relied on Fox News as a daily poll service, given the disaster that was 8 years of corruption and insanity, I'd rather have the MSNBC blowhards hanging with the president than the illiterates from Fox, that is, if a president must have TV talking heads speaking to him/her.

Oh Yeah, what exactly is your disagreement with her?

Rachel is intolerant of stupidity and demands well-reasoned arguments. The GOP fails in both these regards so is therefore her primary target.

    Don't take it personally.

I watch CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News daily. The MSNBC commentators are, by far, the better bunch (with the exception of 1 or 2).

If you cannot imagine someone disagreeing with a political philosophy well then its probably pointless to go forward.

musclmed, I disagree with a number of media figures regarding political philosophy.
I can also articulate my differences with them.

Can you give any examples of your dissent with Rachel Maddow?

he spent 90 days in jail for protesting on a open naval base's artillery range. At the time he was looking to increase his credibility with Puerto Rican's in NYC. It was good for him, he lost alot of weight.

He also was found guilty of libel for accusing a siting prosecutor for raping Tiwana Brawley. Which was found to be a contrived story for its racial impact.

MSNBC obviously could not find anyone else in journalism to fill his spot.

When did i say that? I said i simply disagreed with her, and that she would do a better job than the current president.

I base that on the fact that she ( Maddow) engages people she disagrees with without hyperbole and personal attack. A trait RNCH you lack.
