Well there is at least 1 RJ member that I can think of who seems to think she and McLame are the cats meow... I am sure if you read enough posts on the subject you can figure out who it is on your own. (I'm trying not to point fingers)icon_rolleyes.gif

Well there is more than one person here who wants the Palin woman, so no reason to single out one person.

Clearly the actions of the Palin woman last night should show that even with some preparation, there are major points this lady has missed. I wonder if she would know what the "Monroe Doctrine" even is.

To be reasonable, she can't be expected to know everything, but you would suppose that being a right winger (and since Bush is her leader) she would have some basics. Perhaps she can learn her ABC's while out talking to people to convince them "we are ready" like she stated last night.

The part I didn't understand was when she started going on about Russia.... are we going backwards here or is it just me?

Well, actually, it's RUSSIA who is going backwards. Maybe instead of bitching about Palin here at RJ you should send an email to:

You're too right, Handsome.... I forgot myself there for a moment. I guess I was a little frustrated that some people can be so blind on so many levels(like Mrs. Palin and those who support her) and yet still have a shot at becoming VP.

Not so much backwards as they need a new fight. Iraq has to end, and Afganistan isn't scaleable. Some National leaders always create war; they must think it will help them politically to demonstrate the worst of human nature and have our innocent citizens kill someone else's innocent citizens.
No More War. It's time this all stops forever. Peace

When Gibson asked her if she'd travelled outside the country she said "Canada and Mexico and Oh it was the trip of a lifetime". That's just great Aunt Bea, just great. She may be the first female douchebag to grace our planet.

I remember hearing about the "Bush Doctrine" a few years ago, but I didn't realize it would be on the test, so I didn't bother to include it in my notes.

Energy is a big part of foreign policy. I'll need it to pilot the Condoleeza into port in Kuwait, where, I'm sure, the Emir will arrange a state-sponsored wolf and moose hunt in my honor.

I knew not to hesitate when I was asked to be the nominee's VP pick. That kind of energy is also required of a commander, and counts toward foreign policy points.

I know that people will take my state's proximity to Russia as serious foreign policy experience. Please don't diminish this fact, as I am also an expert on Canada.

I know that by asking these questions you will look like a tool and I will look like a victim. How much does the assault kit cost?

But, actually, John McCain did well to select Ms Palin as VP nominee. It contrasts his policy experience with hers and makes him look like a genius. Like Bush did, surrounding himself with crooks and idiots: he's the smartest, most honest man in the room.

Did anyone else catch her say nucular instead of nuclear? I was enjoying the fact that Charlie Gibson was playing Teeball with her and that she still couldn't get on base until she said that. Many of the answers, her posture, and such were laughable, but for some reason that one word set me off. All I could think of the mess we'd be in if she were in that office.

Poor Charlie. I felt sorry for him. But I feel even more now that, with her in the office of VP, we'd be in a worse state than we are now. Liberal/conservative Dem/Rep... doesn't matter. They are not the people I want in charge and this choice of McCain's clinches it for me that he can't do the job. No Way! No How! No McCain/Palin!!

Yeah she was ridiculous. a little inappropriate to be so ill versed on certain topics when u are 2nd in command. come on people, get a clue, i can not know what the Bush doctrine is because i am a regualr citizen, but u wanna be VP? Come on! . this woman is out of her league. and the reason we go after her is because altho she is not on top of the ticket, mccain did not get his bounce until he added her, which would lead one to assume she is the reason for his bounce. well for all of u giving him that bounce because of her, lets be realistic, she is not worth that bounce. and can u really see her as a president? there is a good chance mccain will die in office just because of his age alone. her interview is jsut even more reason why i am against this ticket. i do not want her as my commander and chief. if u cared about this country, u would not either.

She is such a kidder. Either someone didn't put a new battery in that robot or she got The Bush Doctrine confused with "the constitution doesn't apply to the president" Doctrine.

Pull the string and hear her talk! Why is sounds just like a Bush Doctrine!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I'm in my office and saw you respond to Active and Fit.... I thought, I wonder what the chances are that Todd would let one political comment pass? 3 minutes later you responded..... LOL LOL LOL
By the way, the Palin disaster is only one if she is actually elected. I would hope this country is smart enough not to do that.

    Don't expect a response, Curious:

As McCain told the New York Times earlier this month, “he had not mastered how to use the Internet and relied on his wife and aides like Mark Salter, a senior adviser, and Brooke Buchanan, his press secretary, to get him online to read newspapers (though he prefers reading those the old-fashioned way) and political Web sites and blogs.” “They go on for me,” he told the Times. “I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself. I don’t expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need.” He also doesn’t use a Blackberry or e-mail, saying “I’ve never felt the particular need to e-mail.”

Yes, I definitely caught that, too. I heard that during her convention speech, the teleprompter spelled it out phonetically. They must have known about that peccadillo
