Okay, so I'm cheating. I couldn't find an appropriate forum category for this post, but I'm gay, and going to meet a guy... with whom I plan on having tons of amazing sex, so there ya go. Besides, I know from past experience how much some of you love to share your knowledge and opinions. icon_wink.gif

I'll be in Buenos Aires for 2 weeks starting 9/25, and am renting an apartment - for only $270/week... WOW! - near the Recoleta Cemetery. I know all the fairly obvious places to see - the ones that are easily found on the internet, (like here: http://baires.elsur.org/archives/30-things-to-do-when-visiting-buenos-aires/) but know that the best places and experiences are often those known only by locals or those that are stumbled upon by accident.

We want to go to Tigre, Iguazu Falls and Ushuiaia (down in Patagonia), and Punta del Este and Montevideo, Uraguay. I'd appreciate any pointers for visits to these places (especially little-known deals on airfare), or recommendations for other places we shouldn't miss.

    Thanks!

First of all wow for that great deal on the apartment for a week,i am going to have to ask how you got that deal? Buenos aires is AMAZING and you will have a great time! Any tips that i can give is to definately check out the Gay areas(i will try to find some of the maps i kept and get back to you on particular names of places) !! I know you have the hook up already but Argentinian men are some of the most well put together specimens i have ever seen and you will want to find a nice spot with a glass of wine and people watch. Biggest tip i didnt know was to always have a picture I.D on you for cash exchange ..they are really picky about this!!! Happy travels and you will love it!!!
