Drinking Alcohol and your personal opinion on if you feel it hinders your results personally?

I work in an industry surrounded by booze constantly and as much as i work out and play sports i am curious if my results of all that hard work are being diminished by the drinking socially? I would like to know how you guys feel about drinking whether you do or not? There are so many great looking bodies on here and i cant help wonder if eliminating alcohol is the key...

I would never try to eliminate alcohol, I enjoy a small glass of vino every night. icon_wink.gif

However, having 3 or more drinks every day would hinder my results I believe. Besides the calorie intake, I find alcohol increases my appetite for junk food. When I have a couple of beer I feel like eating chips not salad! Also the alcohol makes me lazy and sleepy so I don't feel like working out.

I too love a drink every now and then. It tastes soooo good. But recently i've restricted. For me at least, when I drink I get an incredible appetite afterwards. I don't mind wasting a couple of hundred calories on a drink every now and then but when I drink it gives me the munchies, bad! So, I begin eating a lot of cheese or desserts or have seconds... etc. Now I have only a couple of drink over the weekend. I could easily have a couple a night but don't like the hunger that comes with it.

So, if that happens to you... it will diminish you gym gains.

So enjoy but be careful not to overindulge.
