The problem isn't them! The problem is all the "5th generation welfare junkies" that we have.....if they would get their FUCKING butts early and get to work we wouldn't be in this mess. I think is ridiculous! Because "I" been working my ass off for the last three years(starting with nothing , by myself) working from 530 am- 11 12 pm 7 day per week trying to keep my business that I have worked so hard on and still am. Why would I have to pay more taxes then those who work maybe 30-40 hrs per week or those who don't work at all, who have been milking the system for generations? What's the point on working hard to make a better living? If you'll get punish because you do so? From what I been hearing and reading. If such thing does pass? I will terminate a few employees for sure. I will still be making the same amount of money. Just my employees will take the punch. Also the tax payer, because now you'll will have a few people on unemployment.

Try paying yourself what just one of them was making, or less.

Because that's about what you'll be making once they're all on unemployment, because other businesses will let employees go, too; and your revenue will fall all a result.

If you're in that income bracket and worried about your lifestyle after taxes, you're doing it wrong.

The question is not whether taxes will go up for the richest... it's already inevitable, due to the agreement that Republicans signed onto and now claim will be the end of the world.
The question is how much further damage the GOP will do TO ITSELF in the meantime. And from the looks of things, the answer is plenty.
Damaging the nation's economy to protect billionaires from a relatively small tax increase? Kiss it goodbye, GOP. You will lose elections for the next two decades, at least.
A more tone-deaf bunch of greedy, bootlicking politicians would be hard to imagine.

Not really. The more down hill the economy goes, the more I usually make. On a healthy economy it would be the same for me. Its a win win situation for me.
The last thing I would want to do is to fire any of my employees or contractors, but I run a business to profit out of it. Not to just kill myself running it just to benefit a few. And if we all want equal rights, don't you think it should all be cut with the same blade?

The reason so many people are collecting assistance had more to do with a lack of jobs than people abusing the system. That is, there are more job seekers than available jobs.

But it's nice of you take out your anger over taxes on your employees. You sound like a real swell guy to work for.

I read under Bush's tax policy the top 2% averaged a $700,000 increase in income while the remainder of the 98% experiencing a drop of $900 in their incomes.....Republican's continue to fight for the tax cut for the rich...They cement their future as the party of the "haves"............

Tooo bad you don't know me, bud. You wouldn't have said that. The day any of you work hard enough to create a successful business, that it wasn't a "daddy, mommy give away". You'll probably understand. Specially when I pay almost 35% tax every year, that's 35cents for every dollar. It's hard to be a business owner now days. I have the choice of terminating employees or remove the health care program I have for all 17 employees. (Times 3, for their spouses and kids. That also comes from my pocket, btw). I also have a charity, who will take some of the impact.

My dad always thought us to not depend on anyone! Just ourselves. He always said, as long as I have two hands and two ft to walk on, I'll be working. So far at age 56 he is working doing things that most 20 year olds would be crying about. He'll run circles around most ppl.
The jobs are there. Just ppl don't want to work them. Yes maybe you lost your 100k yearly income. That doesn't stop you from applying at Wal-Mart or burger king, etc. But there's two kind of ppl, those who are go-getters and those who are go-get-more!

There's corporations who pay little taxes, because there's gaps in the system.
For small businesses it's hard to slip through the cracks. The IRS is all over us. Trust me, I know.

Welfare should be regulated a lot more. Specially regarding drug usage. Regular testing. Have you ever been to the super market and a person on front of you is paying with stamps. Right after they are done paying, they have a second cart with beer and shit like that and they pay cash. Shit like that boils my blood.

You sound like a real pompous jerk. I come from a family who has a long-line of self-made businesses. To include the trucking industry, farming, livestock, construction, and a few other random odd ones. None of them would approach their business or their employees in the manner of which you speak. I hope you are just blowing off steam, because if you are sincere...who the fuck would want to work for an asshole like you anyways?

My family has always treated the people who worked for us and with us, upstandingly. Not one of them would have been let go, especially if business wasn't hurting.

it is a given taxes will go up.

The tax revenue will not even make a dent in the fiscal problem the US is in. The initial offer by Obama had no significant budget cuts.

And with this post you've proven yourself to be either a complete liar or a complete idiot.

You're paying 35% despite owning a business and paying for healthcare for your employees? And you have a charity related to that business but you don't get any write offs or deductions?

Dude, get a new fucking accountant.

You again prove that you have little understanding of the difficulties of running a successful business in spite of what you claim his your family's experience. The irony though is that you acknowledge that employees have a choice. Good employees incidentally are generally happy when the deadwood gets axed - to keep them is demoralizing to everyone.

Ha! Thanks! Won't judge your family because I just don't know them or their business.

I'm glad they don't approach their business like that. If it works for them, it's fine with me. If it doesn't it's fine with me, also. My employees make much more then what they made in their previous jobs. Not only by the hour, but by "commission" also. I'm proud of all my employees and keep them happy. I'm not going to get into what or what I don't do for them.
To run a business, sometimes I got to make decisions. Sometimes rough turns, sometimes easy turns. You can't run a business with out a profit. At least not me. Sorry.

cite]ConfederateGhost said[/cite]You sound like a real pompous jerk.

Not one of them would have been let go, especially if business wasn't hurting.

may11 saidThe problem isn't them!

The reason so many people are collecting assistance had more to do with a lack of jobs than people abusing the system. That is, there are more job seekers than available jobs.

But it's nice of you take out your anger over taxes on your employees. You sound like a real swell guy to work for.
