Watching McCain on The View (his most interesting and telling interview to date) said it all: either avoid answering a question or lie and lie and lie some more until they have to go to a commerical.

In less than one hour - he completely lost the majority of the women's vote he sought to gain from his pathetic VP nominee. That these women could systemically and categorically bring him down in a one-two knock out punch was frightening.

Best comment of all: when he said that he'd appoint Supreme Court Justices who'd follow the Constitution like the founding fathers - Whoopi said in so many words...so not only do you want women to revert to back alley abortions - you want me back in slavery!

I predict that McCain will lose the election and lose his senatorial seat in that upcoming election as well. Palin will also lose in her home state election and each will be put out to pasture where they belong.

If McCain loses this election, I predict a huge Republican career for Sarah Palin. The bumblefucks at Fox hire ANY skirtbot. She's not bright enough to be a lobbyist or cabinet secretary, where the real power is, but she's an awesome reader and she sounds just like Mrs Poole.

I'm so glad that Whoopi and Barbara Walters called him out on his lies. He was expecting a softball Q&A show but got blindsided by the ladies icon_lol.gif

For those of you who want to watch the entire interview, the videos are here:

It's so funny to see the different interpretations that we have to the very same interview. I just got done watching the entire interview with McCain on "The View". True, it wasn't for lack of trying that both Barbara (I can barely move my mouth from all the BOTOX) Walters and Whoopi (I look like I just crawled out a bed and went to work) Goldberg tried their darndest to trip him up. Still, I think McCain held his own just fine -- even having to sit next to the increasingly annoying Joy. He came off just fine, as did Cindy McCain, and he certainly didn't sound like someone who supposedly has no clue about the internet.

It's not about how annoying the hosts are. If you care about that you might as well start commenting on Palin's hair stylist or something. It's about how he outright lies on TV and thinks people are too stupid to call him out.

For example, he said that Palin is against earmarks and didn't ask for any.

The fact is that Palin asked for $256 million in earmarks in 2008 alone.

He doesn't have anything to counter the truth, so he just changes the subject.

Anyone with a computer and access to a search engine can see that HE IS BLATANTLY LYING.

If people are too lazy to do the most basic of research then we deserve what we get.

Well, this demonstrates what you were paying attention to, because his evasions and lies were obvious.

Unfortunately, interviewers are acting much as they did with Bush. They are so taken aback by the lies that they don't seem to know how to respond. The View ladies make their disgust obvious but they didn't call him the liar he deserves to be called.

Watching him sit there while Cindy "the Cunt" McCain spoke, I was wondering what was going through his head. I would love to be a fly on the wall when those 2 are completely alone.

This was pretty damn bad for McCain. CuriousJockAZ I appreciate your optimism in the face of a catastrophic event for your candidate kin to the sinking of the Titanic. Your candidate lies! He is caught and he was put in his place a number of times.

    But physically you are hot.

This seems like a strange, telling observation. In his face, and partially his demeanor I would say he appeared unruffled. But each answer he gave was a deflection at best. This is not "holding his own." This is "hoping you don't notice."

And do you agree with his stances...on the ad lying, the desire to overturn Roe v Wade? That Palin is a reformer?

Or maybe the substance doesn't matter, just the show.

um curious...it is not funny to me to see the different interpretations but scary. He held his own just fine, although he deflected his questions and lied his way through this interview? He couldn't even lie convincingly. you dont find it disturbing to see the hypocrisy between, him, his vp, and his run for president? the women on the view went after him as i think they should have and he struggled. and i loved it LOL.

Barf....just watched the clips from the view.....McCain was phony to the extreme.....icing on the cake was when Walters referred to McCain not being able to remember how many homes he and the Missus own and asked "well, do you now know how many homes you own?" and Cindy McCain interrupted and said "Barbara, that answer is not part of this campaign"......LOL...LOL.

This is at best WISHFUL THINKING but, sorry, it doesn't make it true. McCain did just fine on "The View" -- the nails came out from the women, and he came through it fine. Interpret it any way you like, but the American people will have the final say regardless.

By the way, thank you for the compliment icon_wink.gif

I don't know what McCain was hoping to accomplish by going on the view, but it wasn't his best moment. He fared, but not particularly comfortably, and he didn't use it as an opportunity for 'straight-talk' -- he could have and would have come off much better, and at least gotten respect from the gals.

Guess the alleged LIE went right over my head. If he has ads that have lies (more like exaggerated truths) then Obama has the same dishonest ads. This is politics...it's what they do...and it sucks! Regardless, McCain did just fine, as did Cindy, with those annoying yappy bitches on The View who tried in vane, but failed to really trip him up did not damage at all...though not for lack of trying.

    LOL....

Yappy Bitches, and while that may not be far from the truth
Those Yappy Bitches do have a vote
and Gramps Went on that show for that very same reason

And for those of you who are saying that Whoopi and Barbara Tried to Get
    McCain???
    Were their questions incorrect?
Has McCain not changed views on his own legislation?
Has he Not picked someone as his runningmate who has rightwing ideals?

Is it funny. So many democrats focused on alleged lies your next president had allegedly told.

Lets not forget the big whoppers Free Willy Bill told while in the White House. I never had sexual relations, with that women. Just for starters. lets not forget the disrepute the Clinton's put the presidency in, and Turned the White House into a house of ill repute. Hang on JFK had already done that.

If you truly love the US of A. You will, put your pride aside, and vote republican. America needs you, we need you. Vote Republican.

Remember. it's not what America can do for you. But.....what YOU can do for America; vote Republican. America needs you.
