Damage to the brain may be caused by urban air pollution.

To make sure pollution isn't ruining your health, use Meeusen's tips before you head outside.

    1. Brave rain and wind. These climates blow the fine particles away so you're not left inhaling them.
    2. Avoid rush hour. The more cars, the more pollution from exhaust fumes.
    3. Head to the park. The more trees between you and the road, the better.

It's the only jogging I do ... which now makes sense actually lol.
Just going off the word of my cousin who stayed with my family during his holiday here, apparently the air here is much, much cleaner so I'm getting dumber at a slower rate.

living in a large(ish) urban area with no smog laws (or emissions laws of any kind) this is VERY apparent when you go out early on a Sunday morning. The air is SUPER clean thanks to our very healthy tree canopy (one of the densest in the country IIRC) and just so fresh but go out on a Friday afternoon and its noticeably stale and nasty
