It's actually true...because when most people (addicts) quit smoking they fill the need with food...now not everyone does it but a large population does...

I believe thats why the myth of you will lose weight if you smoke came to be about.

Smokers never feel satisfied after a meal until they've had a cigarette. So it's pretty common to overeat when you're trying to quit. The best way to quit is to focus on health and fitness, and set goals that you can only achieve by not smoking.

It seems that we've slipped down from position 8 last year to 13 this year.
This must be due entirely to my last cheat day... icon_redface.gif

So it looks like the south are the fattest slobs, and the New England Jews and the Mormons are the healthy runners.

Scary we've gone from 10% obese to 30% obese in 20 years, with no sign of slowing. At this rate, by 2020, the majority of Americans will be obese.

So if I move to the Southeast, my sexy factor would increase since there will be fewer thin guys? Wait.. logic is broken.

Uh, don't be so quick to judge, Canuck. It's 14% obese in Canada, and rising at the same rates as in America. "Look at the splinter in your eye," as they say. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obesity_in_Canada
