I'm not even going to bother to look at the link. Probably just stupid, anyway, and I don't really care. icon_mad.gif

Well, I thought it was interesting.

Definitely more interested in the part about making "a deliberate effort to speak hopefully about everything."

I really wonder how much of a difference it would make of we all abided by that.

I knew being a pessimist would pay off eventually.

I get it too, but I've debated this endlessly with some of my friends. You know, the Tony Robbins types.

In my business I have to be a 'negative optimist' to have any chance at a successful outcome because SO many things can go wrong. Between the lenders, buyer, sellers, appraisers, inspectors, etc., I'm very lucky that anything ever closes. It does because I do a pretty good job of thinking and anticipating just about everything that can go wrong and dealing with it before it does.

A bit the same. When something matter, I need to imagine all the possible outcomes and their impact on me. So I can go deep in very negative scenario, yet once done, I'm peaceful.

I suspect the stress is for me be to unprepared when the stakes are high.
Knowing everything that can go bad even if I do my best make me feel ready for action.

And I always tough positive thinking is stupid, except for pessimists.

I like it! Facing ones fears is the best way to get over them. We get caught up our day to day lives so much we often forget how fortunate we are. I really like the taking a day to live out your fears. I have a fear of being immensely wealthy, but I don't have the funds to live a day in that life, any one care to help me out ;-)
