It happens annually for 12 years at the beginning of each new century, starting with the year XX01. So far since the 21st Century began we've had:

    01/01/01
    02/02/02
    03/03/03
    ... and so forth

12/12/12 is the last in the series until 2101/01/01. See you then. icon_wink.gif

Lots going.. clients, social activities. Probably not that unique a day overall, but I'll be thinking about the symbolism for sure!

The numerical appearance is special, though it doesn't signify anything cosmic. Other cultures mark the same day with different calendar systems and different numerical characters, which lack today's unique repeating appearance in our Western system.

Right now my husband is making candy we'll give as Christmas gifts. I hope I get to sample some, and that'll be special enough for me. icon_biggrin.gif

I may waste three bucks on a lotto & powerball ticket to celebrate this unusual date.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's not 12/12/12. It's 12/12/2012. Well...unless we've all gone back in time and it is the year 12...
