    Taking a walk has helped me, or lying in bed tightening and releasing my muscles starting from the feet and ending with my face muscles helps to relax my body for better sleeping! Also there are some teas (which can't recall their names) which help with sleep..

    If I really can't sleep at all I play video games or read something in another room. When I finally get sleepy then I go back to bed. I think I read something once that said you shouldn't lie awake in your own bed if you have insomnia - you have to teach your body that your bed is where you get your sleep, not where you roll around and let your brain grind away at problems consciously.

    I download the podcast of Rachel Maddow and play that on my Ipad, play that and I am out in less than 10 minutes. Something about the drone of her voice puts me right to sleep.

    I use a similar supp called Hemotropin from Nutrabolics - which is a Zinc, Magnesium, B6 based supplement with some other goodies for assisting REM sleep.

    Most nights I sleep like a baby.

    Look at the stars, My bed is at the window as far it has all been my beds are position in such way I could always see the Moon or at least the Stars.

    Its basically Zinc Magnesuim Aspartate it has a trace of B6 as well.

    if I cant get then ZMA , I take Blackmores BioZinc works the same, just in dosage its different i'd take 2 tabs unlike ZMA 1 tab, but yeah next morning you feel great sharp, on instant I would say, not forgetting it gives you a good night sleep.

    Eating bananas before bed helps you fall asleep. Also the muscle tightening, but DON'T watch TV or go on the computer! The screen will keep you up long after you turn it off, best bet is to avoid tv and computer for an hour or more before bed.
