Switched careers. As an investment banker, I didn't feel I was helping anyone except the financial institution I worked for. Switching to healthcare is the best decision I've ever made.

I guess my military career, especially because it seemed so against type for me.

The other would be coming out gay. But it's offset by the preceding failure to realize for so long that I am gay, and so came out late. icon_confused.gif

Duh, not like that even had to be pointed out, after all, I had to serve time for trying to burn the white house christmas tree and for killing at least one of the first dogs.

Restoring an old house, then decorating it.

Living in Paris. I loved every minute of it.

    Surviving my family.

Loving another man for 11 years. It might not have worked out, but I learned so much about love...giving and receiving it.

Putting myself through college without the help of my parents. I came out while in college so the tow go hand in hand. Got my degree and started my teaching career. Now I am retired and have lived life on my own terms.

I'd have thought you'd say "Getting that muskrat to stay on my head".

    Polyester muskrats are the worst.
