Last week, the TV was showing Reebok Crossfit competition. Those people's body are amazing. I am not just talking about their body image. They also looked very healthy.

Wondering if I can commit myself to exercise like 2 hours in the gym, 5 times a week to strengthen/train my muscle and cardio.
What could I achieve from Crossfit else from regular working out in a gym?

I started CrossFit a year and a half ago. It's a cult, for sure, but at least you get some benefits out of it! I'll get some before/after pics up here eventually.

But really - you're getting coaching and training that it isn't easy to get on your own at a normal gym. I am sore most days and I sweat more than I ever did before.

The workouts are pre-planned, and since everything is done in a group setting, you can't really back out and cheat or quit. You end up having to do workouts that you don't like or are bad at - a great way to really challenge yourself.

Just bought a groupon for it with a friend and we're doing it together. So far I love it and it is intense!

Eh, I'm underwhelmed by the whole concept. I prefer getting my fitness from things I am interested in and/or enjoy. I have been doing Yoga for more than a decade... and it is just as challenging and tortuous as it was when I first started. Same thing with biking and weightlifting. I think you get into it what you put out, and consistency is a big factor. If you aren't motivated to go consistently, then you won't consistently see results. Think of it as a job and getting a paycheck---if you don't show up to work, you won't get a paycheck---but you could get fired.

Yup for four months now, completely changed my body and my endurance after reaching a plateau at the gym and constantly changing eating habits to build better....I am addicted. Make sure you find a good box with good coaches cuz you can get hurt. You can do CrossFit three times a week and get just as much change as if you go to the gym 4-5 times a week.
