    Have you ever been on a date and something happened that instantly turned you off?

    I was on a date when I was 21 and this guy who was sarcastic about everything the whole evening. He said...

    " I have tattoos. They are Darth Vadar and Yoda on my stomach."

    He was so sarcastic the whole night I didn't believe him. We get in his car, we start making out, and when I lift up his shirt there was Darth Vadar and Yoda staring back at me.

    Right then and there got out of the car and walked back to my apartment. Never heard from him again.

    I once dated a guy who had terrible body odour.

    Usually I'm aroused by testosterone filled musk but his BO was totally another level. He stank so bad that even his dog whimpered whenever we arrived at his place. I seen his dog ate its own poop without complaint.

    When he put his arm around my shoulders, I felt like "This is it. I'm gonna die from asphyxiation and it's not even the erotic kind".

    This one guy I went out with wouldn't shut up. Like, he kept talking non-stop. And it wasn't anything interesting, either. I couldn't get a word in edge wise.

    Oh, and I went out with a frat guy once. He also wouldn't shut up and listen. He also said something really homophobic. I ain't got time for peeps who be hatin' themselves.

    I've never (lucky, I guess) had these things happen, but here are a few deal breakers for me:
    * B.O. or not showered / cleaned out for a date
    * Nasty disposition
    * Rude to waiters or valets (or anyone)
    * Can't handle his liquor / or a pothead - druggie
    * Filthy apartment, house or car, clothes
    * Bad grammar / unintelligent
    * Unclean teeth / mouth / etc.

    Hate making lists of negatives, so let's turn this around: All guys who are clean, intelligent, polite, and with good attitudes - - - go to the front of the line!

    I bailed on a really dumb guy, during the date, just pretended I had to be in surgery. Nothing turns be off faster than being proud you are stupid.

    Men who 'rap'. Maybe it's because where I live all the black men under 25 think they can rap but I actually had a super cute guy make a rap about me on the spot thinking that would turn me on. It didn't. And he kept flashing a huge wad of money at me. I know they mostly singles and he just had the big bills on the front.

    That one is a big piss-off factor. I can understand an occasional call but keep it quick, switch off the phone and don't do it again.

    Any type of clingy behavior not only turns me off, but frightens me, and makes me run the other direction as quickly as possible.

    Drugs... just not gonna happen if you mess with that shit.

    being to hyper, I need my rest shut up and let me sleep/relax/not talk for a while.

    Anyone who tries to force me out of my routine for work/exercise. Beyond that i don't care but get in the way of those two and I'll walk right over the top of you and when I get back I'll ask you to leave.

    RunintheCity saidDirty home that isn't a result of having unexpected company

    My place gets messy but not dirty... I can't help it though some days I just walk in and dump shit and can't be bothered dealing with it until later haha

    I try not to get too focused on the negative. Probably the most common problem I've had is being hung up on past relationships. In some cases, he's clearly not over his ex. In other cases, he hates his ex to much he won't shut up about him or her.

    One guy said he is always running late. He hates waiting for people, so he'd rather be late and have everyone else wait for him. So rude.

    I'm always willing to give a guy a try, but there are a few things that will break the deal eventually:

    Too closed off

    Lack of communication

    Lack of respect for others

    Treats me or himself like ... you get the point.

    Drugs (this includes pot)...should not need to explain

    Heavy Drinkers...same as above

    Snores....sorry can't sleep through it

    I had a date with a guy who was a lobbyist. He was consistent in interrupting our conversation. When he saw my frustration, I told him that he was rude for interrupting me while talking and that he did it throughout the entire date. He stopped and actually listened but I was done with the date and never returned his call.

    Just a few:
    1) guys who only talk about what the plan for the weekend is. (Club, bar)
    2) smokers of any sort
    3) the guys who say all the things they believe in but at the same time are doing the opposite.
    4) Frat guys who honestly think they are still in a frat (no matter their age) and truly believe I give a crap about any of it.

    I met a guy online, chatted, and met for a movie date. He had a small amount of scruff in his pics BUT in real life he had a full-on hipster beard. I was crushed. He seemed like a really smart guy too. icon_cry.gif

    WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH A BEARD?

    Lots to those who are obsessed with removing as much hair from their bodies as possible it seems.

    The standards ones of course: drugs, bath mouthing the waiter, unsanitary habits... but one closer to what will end it for me before it begins is someone who won't stop talking, won't get off their cell phone, or only talks about themselves.
