There's more to life than producing offspring. The gay community has a rich legacy of art and leadership.

It's like saying the opinion of racial minorities doesn't matter.

Being high is only a supplementary state of bliss. I prefer to live in the real world. The world of misery and pain.

Life is unfair. Life is unkind. Life really doesn't matter.

Drunk posting and a lack of logic. That's saying NO cultures however small matter. And I'm pretty sure we make more than that quoted percentage. Our sexuality plays a huge role in who we are yet we are so spread into the fabric of everything it is impossible to say "we have no impact" when in fact there are gay people strewn across history, in every single Discipline or profession or study or industry.Unlike race, sexuality can cross more boundaries and can be hidden to an extent. So yes. You do matter. we all matter. No matter how small your population is..

eggh not true..we have tons of gay people in high standing political positions and who own media and have made major decisions. Now whether those decisions were "pro gay" is an entirely different story.

There are about 5.1 million American Indians in the United States but there are about 9,000,000 gay people in United States. and I think American Indians are very important so why would gay people be less important.

Come back to us when you are sober.

And for some perspective there's about 4% percent of Jews in this country and they have a large and strong pressence so there's hope for all of us.

There's five million ACTUAL American Indians left? That makes me so happy. There should be more but I honestly thought y'all were down to the thousands.

But that is only an opinion...It is your opinion that american Indianians are important .

And it is only an opinion of the straight world that we should matter. Our well-being is reliant on the opinion of a world we are not apart of. Even if we voice our thoughts and concerns.. they only matter if they catch wind of straight society.

So in essence, what we believe.. what we feel is right.. is out of our control . We can hope and pray that our desires will come to fruition.. but We do not matter. They matter. not us.

That's true of every non white non Christian group in America along with sexual minorities. That doesn't mean we don't matter. It just means that we don't have automity for now.

In the grand scheme of things, you could say no one, or nothing matters. Being a minority of the population is the least of our worries, trust me.

And even if only 3-5% of the population is gay, you aren't taking into account all the friends and family who are willing to stand with gays. And the people who don't care one way or the other may stand with us too.

The victor isn't always the one who says his/her point the most, sometimes it's the ones who are loud enough to sway the world in their direction
