For the first time in I don't know how long, I had to actually buy a belt to keep my pants up. I am sooo happy about this lol. Now I gotta go out and buy a new bathroom scale *shudder* to see just how much I have lost. Weeeeeee!

I just took like ten garbage bags of clothes to Goodwill yesterday for the same reason. Pants, jeans, shirts, shorts, etc... - all too big. I tried some of them on that I wore even like three months ago and they felt like giants bags. That made me feel really good. Now my closet is pretty empty, so I need to go shopping. he he.

    Okay, true confession time here.

How many of you have actually bought replacement pants and shirts at Goodwill?

I too have dumped easily half a dozen laundry Baskets of "too big" clothes off at Goodwill over the last 16 months. Once I'd run through all of my old clothes that I'd hung on to even though I'd out grown them, I thought what the hell. Why buy new stuff that was going to be to big in a few months. I actually found some nice stuff, Brooks Bros, Polo, J. Crew, Jos. A Banks, Banana Republic. I lean toward classic in my clothes (some might say conservative, like my postings), I had no problem with "out of style." Once I get to my final size, I'll darken the mall again, but I'm a "Clark Howard" devote, so I can't say I'll completely stay away from Goodwill. icon_cool.gif

Been there =) Got rid of a LOT of clothes in my closet, and then I've spent all summer buying new, smaller sized clothes.

    I love shopping =)

I'm going shopping there this weekend. My pants are all getting loose, and since I have more weight to go, it doesn't seem to make sense to go out and buy new.

Congratulations!!! I know the feeling since recently I can see my abs again and have to wear a belt on most of my pants... I can even wear some of my partner's size 28s (though not in public, cuz he's a little shorter than me, and they're still a little tight).

Again congrats on the weight loss!!

I was wearing a pair of shorts this weekend without a belt, and I was thinking to myself that I was lookin' kinda gansta with it dropping down so that you can see my underwear. Granted, I was wearing a shirt over it so that it didn't show, but I was happy that I've progressed to that point. With the Weight Loss Challenge happening here, I'm hoping that I get to experience that more myself.

Good suggestion about shopping at Goodwill until I get to my goal weight. Granted, I hope it's not to far off.

    LOL,
I nearly had a issue the past weekend. I took a pair of short to change into after swimming. The last time I'd worn them they fit fine. After swimming I went to Publix, and was half way in the store I realized that my pants were literally falling down. I had to keep my hands in my pocket, run next door to Marshals to get a belt, before I finished grocery shopping.

Congrats guys! Second place reason for public indecency. And let the pride you feel in your size extend to your Goodwill shopping-- no shame in it, unless you buy it all and leave us poor folks naked.

I love these success stories!! To me, that is what RJ is all about.

Congratulations to ya! It has been five years ago now that I lost more than 20% of my body weight and went from a 36 to a 31 waist size. I had not worn a 31 since I was a freshman in college. What a good feeling it was and it must be for you too. icon_biggrin.gif

I ROCK the Goodwill/Savers/thrift stores for pants. I can't remember the last time I paid more than $10 for jeans

I've taken off 42% of my starting weight; from 350 to 198lbs. I'm at 23% body fat now, don't even want to think about what it was when I was @ 350, probably near 55%?!? Yikes!!!

Bought a par of 32 jean a couple weeks ago and they are now getting a bit lose.

So, I have a side question. What is you weight, height, and waist size?

Right now I am 198 lbs, 6'0", and 32" waist.
