    My father is dead.
    He was straight.
I don't remember him actually teaching me anything, but I learned from his example. And, I can see that I have some of his qualities.
I'm good with money, afraid of getting into debt.
    I'm stubborn.
    I like to read.
I have a quick, dry, clever sense of humor.

I wish I'd gotten his confidence.

My daddy is straight but I'm more like my mama who is a home body. I'm a lot different from both of them though.

I am a total hybrid of and can relate to both - dad's Superman, mom's Lois Lane.

But without the gravitas of other hybrids, like the manservant in "The Birdcage" who was part Ricky, part Lucy:

I used to be such a mama's boy, but as I grew older, I started to gradually develop more of my own beliefs and decision-making skills. I still listen to her tremendously out of respect and take her opinions seriously, but the final decision is mine. If I disagree with her, then oh well.

I am more to my Dad when it comes to the analysis of things, review of materials, data, he being an accountant; also very keen and level headed.

But from my Mom, I get her looks some say that I look more like my mother, from her I get the spirit of adventure, risk, trying something new, travel, etc. I love my Mom, but we are like oil and water and yet I love her dearly, but when we disagree it can be a disaster.

I am definitely a hybrid, with certain aspects that come from both. From my dad, I get my athleticism and liking of outdoor activities. From my mom, my musical abilities - dad can't sing or play a single note. There are other parts of me that are mutually inherited or learned.

Let's see, I don't really know much about my father other than the fact that he was an abusive, alcoholic drug addict. The only lasting memory, good or bad, I have of him is the moment he took his dying breath when I watched him put a gun to his head and pull the trigger. I doubt I have any of his qualities....thank God!

My mother is an ordained minister and has been very religious for as long as I can remember. We've never had any type of close relationship throughout my childhood up until this very day. So no qualities coming from her either.

I strive to be my own person and not follow any examples from either and as long as I'm a good person, I'm ok.

Both. I look like my mom in the face and am built like my dad, who's straight. I have my mom's absurd self-righteous streak and my dad's dry and cynical sense of humor. I'm definitely not a milkman baby.

Unfortunately, my dad was an alcoholic and didn't know how to take care of my sister and I, so we are both mama's kids. I never got along with my dad. Very verbally and physically abusive and very sexist against the women in the family.

Dad straight. Ive been told I looked like him in HS, but I actually look like uncles on my moms side of the family. I think I am my own person. Growing up I knew I didnt want to act like either of them, so made a conscious effort for that not to happen.

My father Is straight and he is dead.
My mother is alive but we aren't close. We used to be when I was her clone and I was 'straight' and still religious and my career choices matched what she wanted. I essentially raised myself in many respects. I don't have many of their qualities besides having a bad temper.
