....not Christmas in my family without a major meltdown....part of why I have told them all to "Stay away....I am unavailable!" Gifts were distributed already....I am DONE with this holiday.

My dad and my older brother aren't talking because of some owed money drama that happened this year. ugh.gif
It doesn't really interfere with my plans but it means that my little brother might not get to see my older brother this Christmas.

Me: My new roommate has a problem. His protein shake diet causes him to shit his pants, and sometimes he explodes on top of the toilet seat and doesn't clean it up.

My sister: You can't get along with anyone, can you?

Not yet...finding this text'ng thing to be less guilt-trippy.
Sister's new man wont let her drink at home, so there's still time, once she gets to the bars. I'm going to have the Bf show me how to turn off voice mail.

Really enjoy my holidays these days (really always have, except for a few years that were exceptions). I see my family members who I want to see.
I have an alcoholic brother and back years ago when I didn't know what his issues where, he'd bring them to Christmas along with his bitch of a wife who just aggravated things. I don't have to see them, but I get to see everybody else if time permits.

I always think about these families who bicker and are uncomfortable at the holidays. It is supposed to be a happy time.. it can be, but find a path to make it happier...lol

Two members of my sister-in-law's family are battling cancer, my niece is going back to Afghanistan after New Year's, and one part of my sister-in-law's family isn;t speaking to another part.

Tis the season to be jolly . . . .

On the bright side -- we welcomed a great/grand-nephew to the family last month!!

No I've been avoiding my family for the past five months. I only talk when I have to or there's no one else around. I've been spending the holidays with everyone but the people I'm related to.

    That's absolutely hilarious....

My sister and her family along with my uncle came over for dinner last night. Any casual observer would think things were wonderful, but there's always this underlying awkwardness because several people at the table really don't like each other. It's like saying "I love you" through gritted teeth. Tomorrow will be Part 2.
