Likewise... tired. I think they are counter-productive . No one learns anything from them. We basically hear the consensus is that dating and sex is private and isn't really racism if you choose to date within your race. It's more about how you describe and communicate it in which makes you racist..and if you are not a racist.. then you will not sound like a racist when you do. But even if you were, the race that you are excluding should not give a shit about you and just move past your asinine posts. Also we learn in these threads that minorities can be racist too. Book closed. Done and Done. What ends up happening is that white people are possibly handed the idea that non-white people covet them like prized possessions..and that white people care a lot about if they are perceived as racist and those who are worried are most likely racist. That's the byproduct of these threads. There's never a bridge that is built. No harmony. No "ah ha" moment.

I haven't been involved in any of those threads and I don't plan on starting... I suppose replying to this one doesn't count.

They're pointless. Yes, there are guys out there who do not date outside of their race. It should not bother those excluded. I've been shot down by white, black and hispanic guys and it does not bother me one bit. Out there, someone wants you. Last time I checked, this is still the land of the free and everyone has a right to show interest in whomever they choose. Since when is it racist to not date outside of your own race? It's just the way some people operate and there's no crime involved. It's a preference and there's not one person out there who is wanted by all.

RJ would sort of be a ghost town without the following 4 threads:

    I Really Hate Fem Guys

    Why Can't I Find a White Boyfriend?

Why Are People So Racist Against (whatever I am)?

Guy Above Me is The Hawtness

First of all, if you don't like something, don't click on it......revolutionary I know, I'll give you all some time to wrap your heads around the concept.

I that most of the threads on RJ are boring. Any thread about race or masc vs fem or israel gets people to post.

Just take the sand out of your vagina's, grabs some marshmallows and weenies and enjoy the flames.

I think it would great if the gay men could have an honest conversation about race and racism. Heck it would be good if the USA could have that conversation. It probably will not happen in these forums.

Kinda feel this is BS tbh.
    Settled? Yes.
    Curious? Yeah sure.
    Wanted and Desire? No sir.

um it's true. The human experience is driven by perception. Yeah.. i get tons of guys who think i'm the hottest shit ever... just as much as the guys who communicate they would not touch me with a ten foot pole. Who i find attractive might not be attractive to anyone else. There are people who think i'm the coolest guy ever..and many who think i'm a dork not worth talking to. This is indicative of the variety of people on this planet and something we must live in. It's purely human. So i suggest people move past this for any kind of inner self resolution.

    Am over it all.

To each their own. I just ask that people not be so ignorant and display their racial preferences on their profile.

Keep it real, but keep it within. Let's live peaceful.

I was thinking about this while looking at interviews that Quintin Tarintino gave about Django Unchained. He was speaking primarily about the flack he's getting about making a western that happens to center around slavery and a former slave bounty hunter. He's like "Well, the material is there. It happened. White people seem to be the only ones up in arms about it. But i wanted to take it head on" (Paraphrasing)

There seems to be resistance on a lot of parts to just talk about race as race. The ugliness.. the actual racism we see in our world now.. and the fact that we ARE uneven in many parts of the world..and the US in particular. It's best to just say it bluntly... be honest about it than tip toe. For ages films about slavery were non existent or few and far between. Now there's an action film that just casually uses the theme with no apologies. I thought it was a fresh idea. I think our conversations should take suit..without anyone thinking twice about being called a racist or implications. Just speak.. inform and want to be informed.. you'll grow. Our hesitation to speak about the matter keeps us at bay. I'm also pro-nigger. Just fucking say it white people.. cause it has nothing to do with the word itself.. but how you say it and who you say it to and when. Shout it out! I don't give a fuck personally.

Western nations cannot have honest talks about racism. Americans descend into flurries of insults and then try to ignore it exists and European countries seem to be under the delusion racism applies 1) to only black people and 2) on Americans. I love it when people say there is no racism or they don't see race in the same way Americans do in European countries. I'd buy that if there wasn't so much anti Middle Eastern sentiment I see pop up in on most international online publications and from a couple people in real life too. Racism exists and especially in the gay community because to be honest men are more reptilian than women.

So in a dating pool exclusively of men I would not be surprised if more men stuck to their own but let's be real. There are layers to racism. Not wanting to date any black or Asian man ever is racism. You haven't met everyone that exists so there is no way to know if you could date one or not. There's some prejudice there. Admit it, treat it and move on.

tereseus1 saidi think the reason why these threads keep popping up is because each new black member of real jock has encountered this in society and online and felt this way regarding the subject, so there must be some valid truth to the point in question. Think of it...every now and then a topic comes up in regards to race..its because us black men actually feel this way and its because of actions done and negative words shared by men of other races. So the question will forever be brought up.

tereseus1 from the "Do White Men Like Black Men" thread.

I happen to agree with this
