"Crapo graduated from Brigham Young University, and served earlier in his life as a bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
A Mormon whose religion forbids drinking, Crapo could face additional fallout in his home state, where about a quarter of the population — and a considerable portion of the donor class — consists of Latter-day Saints."

    AWKWARD!

Wow, I live in Idaho, and didn't hear about this. People were so embarrassed about Larry Craig, I think they may allow Crapo to sweep this one under the rug.

Senator Crapo, is endangering people's lives by driving drunk another example of your "family values?"
Can you also please explain how a dangerous criminal such as yourself is morally superior to law-abiding gay Americans who want equal rights under the law?

Can you repeat your answer? You're slurring your words.

It's amazing to me how delusional politicians are.
They are so removed from regular everyday life, they think that the laws are just for all the little people.
    And, they are.
Being a politician, he'll get the charge reduced, maybe pay a small fine, and be sent on his way.

Another example of saying one thing but doing another. I hope people remember this when election time comes again.

to be fair, being a republican is not a reflection of one's idiocy when it comes to drinking and driving. people across the spectrum are idiots in that regard

Politicians are generally just people who are excellent at debating and presenting arguments. Whether they actually need to believe in or care about what they say is something they'd likely debate as well.

Being a liberal Democrat, this news should have me jumping for joy. On the flip side, drunk driving doesn't have a political label. What does strike me as typical Republican in all of this is Senator Crapo being two-faced.

Shouldn't Mormons practice what they preach???

Then confess his fault and beg for forgiveness. Actually it's already begun. And then get reelected by an even bigger margin, because he was so contrite. Meanwhile, you or I would still be in jail, waiting for a bond hearing, and then have the book thrown at us by a Republican judge.

Another right wing republican who parrots traditional family values gets caught by the law driving drunk. When will all the hypocrisy ever end in the conservative wing of the GOPicon_question.gif

Probably it is time for Idaho to seriously consider becoming a competitive swing state and start voting democratic for a change.
