    Firstly Happy Holidays. icon_smile.gif

Secondly I was let go from work yesterday. Kinda harsh but the owner of the store felt I wasn't the best fit for her. I am a little blue, I'm going to try to remain positive and go onwards and upwards.

I'm going to have to start filing unemployment soon though and revamp my cv.

May the New Year bring prosper.

I will never cease to be dismayed by companies that do this, as they know full well this emotionally charged time of year.

I am sorry what you are going through. I was let go just one week prior to Thanksgiving and looking for contract work, although my contract was until Dec. 29th and the supervisor noted they did not need my services any more, but also prior to my leave to train someone to do my job, hehehe...so I know what you are going through in terms of going it through. Yes, I remain positive and yo u should as well for 2013

    All the best for 2013.

I was an assistant manager for a spa. Its not my career path as I aim for better things and it was just so I could earn to cover rent and c.c....

I'm still blessed with my health and family who are being supportive. Also I thank you guys for the cheer ups. All I want is a place where I'm comfortable and settled into a career.

Likewise! I live in a huge banking town and one of my closest friends who worked for one of the big banks was let go recently. It's very sad and I swear, the banking industry does this every year towards the winter holidays, probably to meet their annual budget goals.

To the OP, keep up the positive attitude and best wishes in finding a new job!

That's pretty messed up. Sounds like it was intentionally to hurt you. I mean, most employers would wait until the new year. Fuck that. Hope things improve for you.

My friend got let go from his job too recently, so he's going through the same thing. I'm sorry.
Update your resume, promote your work strengths, and stay optimistic.
Hang in there man, good luck!

Buddy while you may feel helpless and left with a feeling of uncertainty at this time, it can also be the precise and right time to show yourself and test your own inner strenght.Talking from experience here my dear friend! Life isn't fair nor is it cruel, even thou it may seem or feel that way!? but if you still think it is, then this is the moment you must proof her/life wrong. I am one who believes that no matter how bad things are in your life, that you are 'THE ONE' to proof to it that things are going to get better.
