That house is still very much occupied and not rotting away in the woods.

Go into the house at dusk and take several pictures in each room.

Better yet, take an axe with you and swing it in each room prior to using the camera.

That's my home turf, too, and I don't recall anything about this either. Street?

Maybe they were sleeping while the killer was killing them.

there's no public record of this... which is really odd given the severity of seven deaths by an ax murderer who was never caught and the manhunt that would have ensued. seems like you're making shit up and being an attention whore at the same time.

When I was young I used to enjoy exploring long ago abandoned buildings and imagine what life was like there, wondering why the building was no longer used. I liked wandering alleyways too. My last time in Asheville I was wandering the alleyways downtown, thinking I'm off the beaten path, enjoying the various graffiti--some of it quite creative--when I came upon a film crew at work so I watched them for a while. You never know what you're going to find in an abandoned building or an alleyway. Key West has some interesting alleyways where you can see into some of the lushly landscaped courtyards not visible from the street. I also used to tear my toys up when I was a little kid. I like to see how things work. And sometimes you need your imagination.

I'm guessing the occupier was slightly reclusive and was occasionally seen by kids while out chopping wood. That's all it takes to make a multiple axe murder legend.

But I can't help but want more pictures. Did you ever go inside, Vic?

Saw the house and thought it was spooky, so I took pictures. It's on Lee Hwy somewhere after 29 and 15 and 17 merge. On the left side going north.

    Let's go inside!

My partner went to a tag sale there a few years ago, and bought a small home decoration, which now sits in our living room. They would only let a few people in the house at a time. I used to be a meter reader for the utility company, and was looking forward to going in their basement to read the gas meter, but it had been moved outside. I wanted to look for the gate to hell. Oh well. icon_cool.gif

I was so expecting the last of the photo series to be a zoom in on a snail, squirrel, frog, doe or tree fungus!
