Has anyone ever had stones? Like in your digestive/kidney area? I had some blood in the urine last week along with some abdominal pain, and went to the doc today. He said it sounds like a stone. Told me to drink lots of water, gave me some anti-biotic, scheduled me for a CT scan to make sure it was nothing more serious and i've got to see him again in a couple weeks to check on the progress.

Anyone else ever gone through this? Is it really painful when the stone passes, and is it something you can see or is it something that just sort of gets smaller then passes? Also, anyone have any idea what causes these things? Is it bad diet - not enough of something or too much of anything?

I've had a 4 kidney stones. It was scary the first time, not knowing what was going on. what hurt me the most was the stone passing through the urethra or ureter(?) The stone moves and stops. As it's moving it's very painful , the pain subsides when it stops. Very minute in size. I was amazed something that miniscule created such pain. I've never noticed any discomfort when actually pasing the stones. In the meantime, all you can do is ride it out. They say it's comparable to childbirth.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Well, this turned into a disappointment. I was hoping for Mick Jagger... it would seem I am not the only person who can make up deceptive titles.
