Why I think Sarah Palin believes she can pull this off

Sarah Palin is an evangelical Christian and may have felt that when she was called upon to be vice president, it as a MESSAGE FROM GOD. She may have felt CHOSEN by God to advance the evangelical message to the world. She didn't have to weigh the affects it might have on her young family (including an infant son with Down's Syndrome, or a pregnant 17 year old daughter who probably needs her mother more than ever) because it was GOD CALLING HER. She might well have felt BLESSED too. So what if she's an imperfect vessel with no real experience to qualify her for world affairs. She was chosen to be on a MISSION DIRECTLY FROM GOD and she jumped at the opportunity.

I have a sister who is an Assembly of God church member too, and home schools all 6 of her kids. This is how she thinks.

    Are you worried yet?

That's pretty much the size of it. Palin's motivation damn sure ain't PUBLIC service.

Now a days, when people say that... someone needs to call 211, and have that person baker acted... ( or what ever the crazy person hotline is for your state )

i was worried the day she was revealed, like some new model (pun intended) of a fancy sports car. i started reading up on her minutes later and was sufficiently terrorized... her pastor is now offering "pray away the gay" seminars at the church she's been attending for the last 6 years...

    she's a doozy...

but after a couple weeks of glamour, it seems that recent polling is showing exactly what i thought would happen: after the initial bump following the rnc, sara palin is scaring white women and gay men away in DROVES. one poll has obama ahead 7 points again already. another has him ahead 12 points.

i agree: she's the best thing that could've happened to the republican ticket, but maybe not for the reasons they were hoping.

    Fable..................I have a shell.

I am listening to the sea with it.

My shells tell me nothing more than the incomiing and outgoing of tides, and the bareness of reefs, of searching for mollusks meandering and trying to hide, of time when the ocean was calme beyond belief.

As for Palin this has nothing to do with her, at least in terms of openess.. She's a clam closed tight and not something a human can prey open, and she's not at low tide where you can find mollusks meandering along the reef.

Palin's savvy, she's political and 'washington' in her political instincts. But substance, reality and something beyond her political theatrics, that is someting that remains to be seen, but certainly she hasn't thought much beyond the aspects of political drama, to what is real political discourse and what is important for the future of this country..

Well, Bush literally believes he's on an errand from God, so why not Sarah? They're both the Forrest Gumps of Bizarro World.

The smell is off the rose...

You can't hide what you are
She lied about being in Iraq
She left Wasilla with a debt that it never had before when she left office
She allowed her husband ... an unelected civilian to do State business
and she's hiding from an investigation that has every right to be asking questions

but a country that elected George W Bush TWICE!!!!!!!!!!
    might not notice icon_rolleyes.gif
