The article above describes a visit to Co. Clare quite well. I spent a weekend there with some friends, and had a few pints in Vaughan's Pub, great music and craic.

Sitting in the pub playing cards, the door open and listening to the rain outside, now that is a good day.

I hear, the locals like it when tourists tell them how green it is in Ireland.

I've never been to Ireland, but I hear it's absolutely beautiful, and the people are warm and friendly. If I ever go to Europe, Ireland is one of the places I'd like to visit.

Wait... There's more to Ireland than Guinness and gingers?

On second thought... What else do you need?

Maybe I just got lucky but I did a three week trip there a few years ago and it only rained two days the whole time. Most of the time it was clear and sunny.

I was there in October 2002. Surprisingly it was still warm enough to go swimming at Slea Head on the Dingle peninsula.
