hydrotherapy recovery

hydrotherapy recovery so after my gym work out i'm of to the hot tub for 2 min then i hit the cold shower for 2 min, 3 time of each. i'd like to know if any studs out there know more about hydrotherpay and what's the chit chat on this muscle recovery. Do i need to do hydrotherapy as long as i do after my work out.

This sounds like a contrast shower. My trainer has me do them if we have worked especially hard and he thinks I'm going to be sore, or if he is feeling mean that day. He has me do 60 seconds hot, 20 seconds cold, ending on cold, four or five cycles. It does help with the muscle soreness.

After my knee injury that ultimately ended my swimming career, my after workout therapy was always alternate hot and cold packs. It really help reduce the soreness.
