I work as a Mortgage Recovery Officer at a bank, which means i foreclose on your house when you stop paying the mortgage.

Learning about that job and all the legal aspects is interesting, but have been in that position too long, do not enjoy it, but the pay and benefits are very good.

i have lost compasion for peoples situation, and become somewhat cold to my customers issues.

    Time for a change.

I work as an aerospace engineer and I absolutely love my job. I get to work with big boy toys all day (fighter jets). I actually enjoy going into work in the morning. It's a good job money wise, but more importantly I get a lot of time off and have a flexible work schedule. Being able to go in late, leave early, take vacation when you want to, and put your life ahead of your job is a huge benefit and is a major reason I ended up in this field.

I'm really lucky to have landed in this line of work. I chose Aerospace Engineering for college because it was first alphabetically on the list of majors. It's pretty much true. If you had asked me in high school what an engineer did, I would have told you they drove trains. I had no idea. Sometimes life takes you somewhere unexpected and all you have to do is make the best of it.

Medical research scientist running my own small lab of 4 staff. Looking to hire two more scientists in the new year. It can be stressful, competitive and frustrating. Yet, I can't imagine doing anything else. icon_smile.gif

I'm a network engineer and I do love it. It's the kind of thing I used to do for fun but now I get paid very well to do it, plus I get to work with some incredibly smart colleagues.

I work for a local utility co, and currently happy with my job. Been there over 20 years. Blue collar job, typical straight male industry. So, yes, I stay IN the closet at work.

I'm a painter (artistic kind) and I love it - I'm my own boss, well, except on commission work. I'm completely free to work as little or as often as I like but the downside is not having regular pay and the stress that involves.

I am a digital marketing inventory manager for a large auto group based in the mid west. I take pictures of the vehicles and upload them to the websites, do the descriptions and some of the social networking. I really like it. We just purchased a new dealership near Albany, New York and will be going there for a few weeks to set up their online inventory system.

I work in retail at GNC and I fucking love it! Had sit down jobs that paid well for years, but would rather be on my feet and engaging people, even if the pay ain't that great!

I work in the airline/travel industry for a technology company...coming up on 30 years. Right now I'm a product/delivery manager, a recent development after 15 years as a technical writer. I was lucky enough to find a job that takes advantage of my ability to keep tons of tedious details straight and explain them clearly. I've also been blessed with co-workers that I respect and like, and a make a comfortable living. I'm totally in love with my partner of almost 12 years (anniversary is Feb 02)...life is most excellent!

My previous career, I was an investment banker. Did that for 10 years and I hated it. I felt that I wasn't doing anything to help people. I switched to nursing and it was the best decision I've ever made. My job is extremely tough and tiring but I can actually sleep at night knowing I'm part of a team that saves lives.

I'm a seventh and eighth grade English teacher. I knew I wanted to teach when I was in third grade. I love going to work everyday and I absolutely love my students.

Last year I was selected as a statewide finalist for the Alanama Teachef Hall of Fame. I wasn't inducted, but it was an awesome experience. I just found out that I've been nominated again, so keep your fingers crossed for me! icon_smile.gif

I teach karate at a martial arts school. I love working with teens. I especially enjoy working with kids who used to be bullied, and now say to me "Everyone at school knows not to mess with me." icon_biggrin.gif

Im a Solutions Architect. Basically i design systems that supports the business and information architectural requirements of my internal clients (business). I love engaging with business, understanding what each function does, how they interlink and creating solutions to problems both faced currently, or potentially in the future. Its fun. Also have a Management role with people (analysts, technologists, pms, ocms, etc) but that is less fun, people... not the easiest thing to keep happy and motivated.

I work as a caregiver. My client has CP, is non-verbal and is quadriplegic. Been doing it for 3 years now and he has shown me some amazing things about life since then. He is the happiest person you will ever meet and we go on amazing adventures every single day. I've learned a lot about myself from him and I can't wait to go to work every day.
