I have never been the type to play games or hide what I'm thinking or feeling. It seems like a lot of guys respect you more if you pretend to be less into them than you actually are.i feel like life is too short for that.......why do so many dudes enjoy that type of dynamic early in a relationship.

I don't like it when guys aren't into me, because then I panic thinking I'm doing something wrong to steer them away from me.

My guess is that it has something to do with the thrill of the chase or being chased. For many, there's something captivating about the element of wondering if you are or are not into him.

I also think that when you play games early on in the relationship and you're in that "will we or won't we?" stage it says that you're comfortable if you lose the game and things don't work out. You don't have much to lose and aren't desperate. When you refuse going to play the games of cat and mouse and openly state them, it reeks of desperation and makes another guy uncomfortable. Thats my take on it though - I'm exactly like you and don't like the games and would prefer guys being straight up without the mind games.

It's funny though - even though the other guy says he likes me - I can't say it back because then he loses interest. It sucks. icon_rolleyes.gif
