Bradley Cooper = overrated pretty boy.
He does not deserve to act alongside the great Robert Deniro. He emotes absolutely nothing for me in his performances.

    Other overrated actors include:

Brad Pitt, not one of his performances moves me. Can never get past his own persona in a film. The only thing he can pull off effectively is any character with a southern accent

George Clooney = same as Brad Pitt

Tom Cruise = same as Brad Pitt and George Clooney

Some of my favorite, most moving actors:

    Daniel Day Lewis
    Morgan Freeman
    Phillip C Hoffman
    Joaquine Pheonix
    Denzel Washington
    Forrest Whitaker
    Samuel L Jackson
    colin firth

Another for Tom Cruise. Eyes Wide Shut could've been better with a totally different actor...and also Top Gun...and The Firm...and Vanilla Sky...

Will Smith is cornier than Orville Redenbacher -- the human equivalent of empty calories.

    Gotta agree with
    Tom Cruise
    Will Smith
    Ashton Kutcher

and I'm adding Mark Wahlberg. He just rubs me the wrong way. He just looks like a 24/7 douchebag.

I must admit. He was good in Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia. PTA seems to know how to get the best out of most of his actors.

Had he done more films like this he would have actually been worthy of his fame.

Hell are you talking about? He's one of the most versatile actors out there and is very good at what he does. How is he corny???

BTW, my most hated actor is Owen Wilson. His work speaks for itself

Oy, his music is the worst kind of novelty bubblegum, his comedies are so lame they creak, and his stabs at high drama -- pure schmaltz. I Am Legend is a favorite book of mine, but Jesus, when I saw the movie, I fell out my chair laughing. The scene with the mannequin? "Can I have your number? Can I have it?" It was physically embarrassing to behold. Vincent Prince outdid him in the same part forty-odd years ago. Poor Will struggled with the sadz.

Basically, he's an overrated would-be Jack-of-All-Trades who does nothing particularly well.

I hate Dicaprio. Especially when they try to make him a tough guy and you know just about anyone could kick his ass.

Granted you picked one movie you didn't like him in then go on to bash his music which has nothing to do with his acting. Have you seen any of his other films? He's been in a lot and there isn't one actor or actress out there that hasn't had a crappy movie or two. Hell even Denzel has been in some crappy movies.

Also, I'd like you to name a movie or two screenplayed after a book that actually did it justice.

Have you seen Seven Pounds, Pursuit of Happiness, Ali...he was actually really good in those. I just don't think he's a crappy actor despite some of his less than good films. Just my opinion.

I'll put it on you to convince me that these aren't playing round the clock in a multiplex in Hell:

    Men In Black
    Hancock
    Bad Boys
    The Pursuit of Happyness
    Hitch
    Wild Wild West

And isn't a lot of his music the result of soundtrack synergy for movies just like this? I don't know what's worse -- his junk food fodder or his attempts at Oscar-baiting.

Both The Last Man On Earth and The Omega Man predated I Am Legend, and both are infinitely superior by comparison.

Nicholas Cage plays Nicholas Cage in different situations.
There is a film with Nicholas Cage with fiery devil powers.
A film where Nicholas Cage swapped places with some other guy, but acted the same.
A film where Nicholas Cage has wizard powers.

Basically, I am unsure if his ego is just huge, or if he just doesn't understand that playing himself in different circumstances is not acting.

Fine! We'll have a movie night and watch all of his films and I will convince he's a good actor. And if not, at least I got a hot date out of it! icon_razz.gificon_razz.gificon_razz.gif

If I was given the option of an hour-and-a-half of Will Smith or putting out a lit cigarette in my eye, I'd honestly debate how much I need depth perception.

Will is cool w/ me because he's sort of that actor I grew up with, saw him grow, and going from lip syncing everyones lines in season 1 of Prince of Bel Aire to I, Robot or something where he could play the role, Men in Black.

Denzel. He's got this way of talking that is super succinct, like he should only play scientist rolls.

Hayden Christensen - The newer star wars guy, Anakin "Ani". I think his performance somehow made jarjar more acceptable.

I think that and Eyes Wide Shut are the only two films I can bare to watch that he's starred in. Maybe a bit of Risky Business on a good day.

I liked him in Magnolia because he was playing such an unlikable character with depth. Plus he had some amazing lines. Usually his characters are so 2D.
