What is it with these insanely hot competitive eaters?

First there was that skinny Japanese world champion hot dog eater that became a juiced out bodybuilder.

Then there's "Furious Pete," the former anorexic-turned bodybuilder-turned bodybuilding competitive eater:

    And now this guy.

Eating contests don't sit well with me. People are starving to death all over the world, while Americans are seeing how much food they can cram in their faces for shits and giggles. Not to mention, an animal gave it's life for that food, just to be used in some childish contest. If you're going to take a life, the least you can do is consume it because you're actually hungry.

impressive to watch but eating that much of foods in such a short amount of time is not good for you.

This clip reminds me of a show on the Travel Channel called "Man vs. Food" where some guy takes a similar approach. It's disgusting and not to mention the guy is a heart attack/stroke waiting to happen.

i'm amazed he was able to keep it all down to finish, whenever i go to Denny's i can barely get through a grand slam breakfast without feeling like i want to puke it up right at the table.

for his heart's sake i hope he experienced a rapid regurgitation.

Although I can understand the desire to eat a LOT of food...I can't understand wanting to eat a lot of THAT food.

    YUK.

Most of those animals were very irrelevant. A non-factor if you will.
If anything, people throw away more food than they eat.
That included the meats but its mostly veggies.

Most sociopaths find other living creatures "irrelevant".

Is Kim kardashian a "living creature"?

I might be a sociopath if she is

I just dont see how these plate occupiers were "relevant".
    Which of their CD's charted?
    What did they star in?
    How hot were they?

At least they starred in one production.

At one time in our history, Blacks and gays were considered "irrelevant". I would think you'd have a little more compassion.

I'll do him, but only if he detox for a week.

Although, that whole thing was repulsive.
