Any problems with RJ threads today 1/1/13?

I apparently can start a new thread like this, but can't answer some others this morning. My Safari iOS browser crashes on my iPad as I begin to type a reply. Other RJ functions are OK, and I can visit other web sites without problems. Restarting the iPad doesn't help. icon_question.gif

Maybe you accidentally Ignored your own posts?icon_eek.gif

Well I'm replying to this one OK, which I started myself. But I continue to crash every time I try to reply to some threads by others, like one about film actors we dislike. Very strange.

Well here's one thread which makes me crash every time I try to reply to it today or quote someone. I can read it, but that's all:

    "Actors you cannot stand watching"

maybe try updating your flash player? Could be because of the number of video/gifs on the page. If you don't view topics by pages, it might overload it for big topics like that.

The iPad iOS doesn't have Flash. Usually I'll get an error message if there's Flash content I can't use, not an instant crash. And I'm reading the posts OK, just can't quote them for reply, or initiate an original reply. But maybe some one does have some content my iPad can't "swallow". Never encountered this before.

I'd say about 2/5 times I log into the site I have various glitchy probs w/it. I just assumed it was the sketchy wifi I was using at random times, either that or the patriot act.

I frequently have posts dumped when I try to save

Sometimes it will save if it's just a reply & I'm not trying to quote

iPhone/pad seems worse than pc @ home, but mobile is mobile

True, there can be many different causes, and I'm using WiFi here through our friends' router on an iPad, not my home iMac. So you have to go through a trouble-shooting process, where any number of issues could be the problem.

I won't revisit all I wrote above, but it does puzzle me, since it defies a pattern. I THINK a certain RJ member may have content that makes my iPad crash, and it's the threads where he posts I have this problem.

But still, that doesn't entirely makes sense to me, never heard of that before. As you can see, right now I'm replying to some threads OK, but still can't with others. Very puzzling. icon_question.gif

You could try putting that RJ member on forum block so that his content doesn't display.

Clever thought. But... it didn't work. icon_sad.gif

I put the guy on Ignore, then tried to initiate a thread Reply to no one in particular. My Safari browser crashed again.

It's that "Actors you cannot stand watching" thread I linked above. How weird!

But otherwise you can see I'm posting OK elsewhere. Never ran into this before.
